It's not that bad... the only thing I'm seeing missing is the guy's left pinky finger... That's about the only thing that's missing. Otherwise, it's good!

its definitely there, its behind the other finger, trust me...i had to re cut that area to make sure it was there :P, btw that is myself. haha.

What I would recommend is doing a bit of the blur tool around the edges of yourself a little bit, NOT TOO MUCH, but a smidge, before putting it into the graphic. It would help get rid of a bit of the jaggedness that you sort of see... Otherwise, great job, heh. :)

Also, is that a specific font you're using for the EE logo or is that premade?

EDIT: From past experiences with Photoshop, it is extremely easier to do some cutting and cropping yourself out when you're in front of a solid colored wall, which it seems like what you're doing.

It appears to be from TWC's press site's image gallery. They have HD logos, just not 3-D. :cry3:

it was from twc media kit, that's why its kinda crappy. I open it up as a png, place it into a png pic/graphic and it kinda messes up the image for whatever reason, btw thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely try it out.

so, i downloaded Vegas Movie Studio 9.0 a few days ago, and fell in love with it.  :bleh: just a small 15 sec HD LF mock, in my own mind, followed by an epic EE Fail.  :rofl2:

suggestions, comments, rude remarks? i'm all ears.

personally i find the "flash" effect to be 1] a little too long 2] a distraction, but it looked neat when I first put it together.

btw this vid only took me the same amount of time as the length of it, so its not very good and kinda just thrown out there. haha

This is not weather related...but I was able to get my hands on some KTVT Graphics:

Copyright 2009 No Copyright Infringement Intended -- KTVT, Giant Octopus, and Gari Comm.

Credits:
Opens : KTVT & G.O.
Tease BGs: Giant Octopus (giantoctopus.com/)
Music : "The X Package"
by Gari Communications
(garicomm.com/)

basically I just added my own touches, such as the video feed area, lowerthird, and news music -- in which was edited to my likings and to sync in well with the graphics... all just for fun.

It's recommended that you watch this in High Quality.

Local ABC Affiliate KSAT recently just received a huge graphic design package, and I decided to create a mock of the lowerthird.

Here is a current project that is still in progress, this is something that took only a few hours, and obviously i still have a lot to do. i do eventually plan on animating it. thoughts?

(it got scaled, so it's not actual size here)
