I was wondering if we can do another LAT48s, the first for this year. I was thinking maybe on the first day of autumn (September 22nd) at around 7:58PM ET? What do you guys think?
-
Lets see how many people can participate. September is always rough with school starting and in session for most
-
I'll be available at the aforementioned time. But Martin is right, some people may not be.
-
Yeah, I would have to agree with you on the situation, Martin  The autumn equinox is on a Saturday, but I imagine people will have a lot on their hands when it comes to school, despite that it's on a weekend. Maybe we could reschedule the LAT48s to a new date that might seem more convenient for everyone else here, like on another weekend or maybe a holiday? What do you suggest?

I would suggest this weekend because school is just starting and most members won't have alot of workload at the beginning.

Good point. We'll see what Martin thinks.

IMO, I think it would be better to hold it off until around the Winter solstice.. that way not as many of us are busy with school. While the autumnal equinox is on a Saturday, I don't think it'd be a day I could remember to do it
-
I figured since that we haven't done a LAT48s this year yet, I would ask if we could do one, but I'm with Zach on this one. Let's wait until the winter solstice to do a LAT48s. That way, no one has a lot on their hands when it comes to school.

I'm already pretty much loaded up from a couple of weeks. Hopefully the rest of you aren't :)

I tend to agree. Its not a done deal so keep sending in suggestions and comments B) I remember the Halloween one we did a few years back was cool!

I agree, and that may actually be a better time, but what a coincidence because even a month after that it could be a bad time again when everyone's doing their Thanksgiving traveling :P
-
Anyone still in agreement for a LAT48s on the Winter Solstice, like we did last year?

I haven't heard any interest from other members yet, but Martin should be replying to you on that question soon as he's in charge of organizing these events.
-
i wouldn't mind doing it on winter solstice but what time would we do it?
-
I don't mind doing it either.
-
I could do it but there's no point in me participating when all I got is the regular satellite lf :(

So what? There have been times in the past when more than one person has contributed the national feed...
-
If you guys come to an agreement on the time and date, and members contribute videos, I'll actively work to put them on the website. Just let me know what you guys (the members ) decide!
-
I can't do the winter solstice (unless it's at the 7pm ET hour).. I have school that day. Maybe if it's on the 21st, we can do it at 7:57pm ET?
-
I agree with Zach. 7:57PM ET on the 21st sounds like a good time to record. We'll just see what the others think.
-
That time is fine with me.
-
So are we still on with the time I suggested? I have noticed that no official word has been made yet
-
It's essentially whatever you guys decide. Just let us know.
-
I'll actually be out of town on Friday for the holidays, but I can still participate  I'll set up a timer recording on my DVD recorder from 4 to 5PM PT (7 to 8PM ET) but I won't be able to post my clip until Christmas Day or the day after.

That's perfectly fine....

Just a reminder that the event is this evening, and record the Station ID if possible.
-
I'll set it up but which should I record, HD or SD? I have a feeling a lot of people will record HD which would be pointless for me to record in that case..
-
I'll be recording ;)

I have plans to do the DirecTV LF (not sure on SD or HD).. but its all up to you

I'm trying to get a K flavor clip of TSO's A Mad Russian's Christmas (it only wants to play on the 1 minute locals) so unless it plays before the 7:58 pm lf, I will record in SD then.
-
I was in the maybe pile on this, but I should be able to participate now if I don't forget. :P
-
Next LF reminder, y'all ;)
-
Crap, I missed it becaue my laptop decided to freeze!
The song was "A Mad Russian's Christmas" by TSO.
-
Wow, how did I predict that? :O
-
I will post mine later on tonight.
-
Wasn't able to record it since I was out of the house at the time ;(
-
Also uploaded on YT. I forgot to record the station ID tho >.<
-
I was able to record two LFs, the one back at my home, and a surprise one. The one I attached is a clip of the IntelliSTAR that serves Kennewick, Washington, and was recorded at my sister's house in nearby Benton City. She switched from Dish Network to Charter sometime between the time I last visited her place back in August and today. Hope you all enjoy one of the very first recorded clips of the IS that serves the Tri-Cities area of Washington state

Since this event actually took place, I removed the question mark off of the subject for this thread. I would say keep all submissions in this thread if anyone else wanted to add a contribution from this event. Martin or Jesse will handle them from here. ;)

Here's the Astoria clip, which is my second and final video submission :)
