Has TWCT seen any spam recently? I know I had to go into cPanel and ban the IP's that kept accessing on SMF 1.1.14, and the same with SMF 2.0. I've put in several filters and required user activation after the SMF *2.0.1 update and haven't seen anything but one - the same member - attempting to access my site. I closed my other boards on PHPBB, etc. due to ridiculous amounts of spam.

There's still some spam at times, but we're trying to be proactive about it and eliminate it as soon as possible.  I have banned a bunch of IP ranges that were constantly a problem a long while ago, and I'm still checking all new members who join here for spam links.

Overall, I have seen very few occurences of spam on these forums, so I assume this is a result of the administrators' hard effort to stop it. Unfortunately, when a spamming instance does occur, the posts usually come by the dozens. However, once again, our administrative team does a good job in handling the issue ASAP. Thank you guys! :)

Spam is occurring this morning.  So far I've only seen one post in the "Your Weather Today with Abrams and Bettes" thread by ASHLEY HOLLAND.  We may need to keep a look out, though, if this occurs again later today.  Thank you in advance administration team. :thumbsup:

The email address of that guest has been banned.  It's a Facebook user who comments on TWC's site often, has no life apparently, and has no idea that most people type in mixed case instead of all caps.
