TWC using old openers in "Weather Channel Mobile"
« on: August 05, 2007, 01:39:09 PM »
I've seen several old openers used in the commercial for Weather Channel Mobile, including the Weekly Planner 2002 opener with the
lady and the PDA. :)

Yeah, TWC does tend to re-use their old clips in newer openers/promos. :) For example, in the current (winter) Weather Center opener, they use the clip with the guy waiting on a train, which was also used on the winter 03-05 PM Edition opener.

Yeah that isn't exactly what I'd refer to as old either. I don't think I'd call anything after 03 old.

To me, OLD would reffer to a time prior to a/the relaunch.

And 2005 does not fit that qualification.

To put it in simpler terms, an old opener would be one that isnt used anymore, was from a previous "state" of TWC.

The one they are using now wasn't being used anymore. It hadn't been for nearly two years.

Not anymore. Ever since they changed the master controlled hour of PM Edition Weekend format to the new format, they no longer air that opener.
