Title: Twc-Relaunch
Post by: Travis on January 12, 2008, 10:57:05 AM: So when do you think the weather channel will have there Relaunch this year ? I know they will relaunch in HD and have knew studios. But think of the on air graphics there going to have. Is everybody ready for a relaunch.

I agree with the June 2008 date as posted by LOL....that has seemed to be the target date for a while...having HD programming and a NEW Sony 40" HDTV makes me excited to see the new studio and new production. We have a local channel in Nashville who now does their evening news in HD and it's incredible...makes you want to watch them over the other three newscasts...the RADAR and other Weather Toys in HD are simple AWESOME! :)

Well it wouldn't make sense for them to update everything but that, would it? :lol:

Keep skytracker the way it is. No tilting it in 270° angles or anything like that.
Keep the SD Satellite forecast the way it is. I hate the local forecast on HD. Why does everything need to be in a window? Waste of space.

I actually don't even like the skytracker to begin with. I prefer it when TWC just used regular doppler radar pictures prior to around 2004.

Some of the text on the HD satellite LF is really hard for me to see, plus I don't know why they made the icons 100x smaller than the ones on the SD feed.
