Made a post over on my blog about the WHEN WEATHER MADE HISTORY show coming up on January 6th. Was contacted by TWC Marketing company to make a blog post about it...wished I would've asked them for some $$$. :)
New Series On TWC (http://cookevilleweatherguy.blogspot.com/2007/12/fascinating-new-series-on-twc.html)
Very interesting line-up of stories on this show!

Not TWC directly, but their Marketing Company for the new program....I was honored to hear from them.

Quite honored they contacted me...they asked that I inform my blog readers of the new show.
-
Wow Cookevilleweatherguy you must be feeling honored with this! Its not often that TWC informs their fans to post something!

Then please explain the continuous commercials for the new program :whistling: :P that's way TOO MUCH informing :P
(but..i caught your drift ;) )

but isnt that advertising compared to informing?
I mean yeah seeing way too many ads for WWCH is annoying

I think it was more of a Marketing Company (hired by TWC) to have bloggers promote the show to people who are in their circle of influence. They figure a weather blogger will tend to reach people who are very interested in weather stuff..(which is, by the way, who I read with the blog) and would be a possible watcher of the show...I like the fact the new show combines History AND Weather......
-
how major is your blog?

I actually got an e-mail news release from TWC regarding this new show, but being sick and atthe same time busy with holiday stuff, I wasn't able to get the article up on the news page. I'll have to see about getting it up there now that I'm both better and unbusy now. :P :sunglasses:

I completly forgot about the news section!

WX MEDIA FAN and LOL...one thing you must remember about TWC is that MOST viewers are 'casual'...meaning they tune in for just a bit and then go to another channel...that is why TWC will run a PROMO frequently....you have to catch the casual viewer....to someone who'll sit and watch TWC, you think they repeat themselves.

I'll be updating it today. with all the recent TWC news, it should be quite a large update.

If anything, I AM the one who should know that  I've refered to that quit a bit (I don't know if it's on this forums or not), but countless times I've brought that subject up. It's about time someone got it :P
But yes, you're right. I was just explaining how TWC informs their viewers, beacause Victor said it's not often that they do that, and I was just saying they do it daily (way too often)

No Kyle, i meant that TWC usually doesn't tell people ONLINE to advertise. Holy cow, you have any idea how many times the WWCH promos come up a day?

There are many ways in this day and age to get your message out...one thing these networks have figured out is the blogosphere holds GREAT power....and we're loyal to each other. I have a wonderful base of readers on my Weather Blog who enjoy what I put out. The #1 website in our community will be putting my blog up as their weather page for our area...that's cool! I've told the agency marketing lady for TWC to keep me informed and I'll pass the word via my weather blog.

It is terrible that WWCH is showing the same episodes for an entire week. What is TWC thinking of? This is madness! Do you know how dizzy and paranoid i get from seeing the same episodes over and over...?
-
No, it's only four days now; that's not bad at all. :whistling: <_<

You do realize that you don't have to watch TWC that hour. ;)

but there's nothing else to watch

On WWCH, they're gonna show the crash of "Air Florida" flight 90.Since its about aviation, it should be interresting to see.
-
I know. I seen it on Seconds From Disaster on Natgeo. Only 5 survived. I think i spoiled some stuff! :blushing:

I couldn't agree with your more! That is what alot of people on TWC forums don't get is that, normal people, if you will, don't sit and watch TWC for hours on end like most people here do. TWC is an information service and its available on demand, when people want to know their weather, people tune to TWC for an average of 10 minutes and then move on they don't sit and watch, unless its something like Storm Stories or soemthing they have planned to watch.
