I remember from the 1990s growing up in Michigan that when a tornado warning got issued for Monroe County the tv screen would switch to show a snowy/staticy picture on every channel with a weird beeping noise followed by an audible message from the Monroe County emergency management office. After the message was read all of the channels would go back to normal.
Anyone who grew up or currently lives in Michigan remember that happening in your county?
