Local Forecast / Re: General LF Discussion

I still remember the 2008–(I think) 2011 SD satellite LF product playlists:

DE (60s): Precipitation Forecast/Thunderstorm Forecast/Severe Warnings, 6-region Regional Forecast, 4-region Radar/Satellite
K (90s): Precipitation Forecast/Thunderstorm Forecast/Severe Warnings, Daypart Forecast, 6-region Regional Forecast, 4-region Radar/Satellite
L (120s): Precipitation Forecast/Thunderstorm Forecast/Severe Warnings, Daypart Forecast, 6-region Regional Forecast, 4-region Radar/Satellite
M (120s): Precipitation Forecast/Thunderstorm Forecast/Severe Warnings, Daypart Forecast, 3-day Forecast, 4-region Radar/Satellite

I am not that good at maths either, which I believe to be a Bad Thing™, as it is important to my main interest.

I am much better at English spelling and grammar, to the point that I type correctly even in IRC and instant messaging. I am a terrible writer, though, as I am shy and inarticulate. I also often have trouble explaining things.

Also, it appears that
this
was the first Local Forecast music.

TOTPD!

I noticed that the Local Forecast used backgrounds (the first LF ever used a shot of what appears to be their meteorologists working or something), and screen shots from promos about the Weather Star display the Local Forecast somewhat differently than we are used to remembering from the original Weather Star: It displayed the main text of the current screen superimposed over the national feed (similar to the backgrounds used from 1986—1987), with a blue LDL spacer at the bottom. The "satellite LF", at least in this video, seems to consist mainly of montages of photographs.

Today, instead of taking my ACT, I just ripped up the test and walked out laughing.
I have already taken the ACT. I am also still in high school.

The Global Forecast Center now has its name above the LCD screens.

I remember seeing that phrase in the background of the old, pre-2008 set...

General Discussion / Re: Weird TV channel I've discovered...

I remember with Cox Tulsa, in the 2000s, I would sometimes receive channels with test cards...

Also, when certain channels, such as the premium channels, Prevue^H^H^H^H^H^HTV Guide Network, Leased Access, and eventually the PEG channels moved to digital-only, I would sometimes see their analogue equivalents replaced with notices that they now required digital cable...

I dont use www.twctodayforums.com/forums and never have

Neither do I...

Also, in the main site, in the Firefox extension Pentadactyl, it does not allow me to use the CSS navigation menus with the hints feature. I just thought you should be aware of this:

Speaking of which, during the transition period in mid-2008 between the chroma key and the video wall, I knew I would miss seeing them use the chroma key and have a nostalgic attachment to it. After the transition period, I was right.
