Everything Else TWC / Re: When did you first discover TWC?
« on: September 02, 2007, 06:51:23 PM »
February 26, 1992 :P I watched sparingly from that time until the following winter, when I watched it often to see if we'd get a snow or ice day. That spring I basically became hooked, watching it for hours on end. I generally watched it regularly every day after school until my senior year of HS.

I was an avid viewer from late 92 until 98. My interest dropped rather quickly after that. From 2000 on my interest mainly consisted of watching an occasional forecast. These days I don't watch it all. I think the last time I watched was last year. :o

I have Cox here in Pensacola, FL, and they upgraded to the IntelliSTAR right when it came out in March 2004.
We got it in April 2005 (when I had Cox). I remember when it first came on I was like, hmm...so that's the Intellistar. Nice. *click* :P

OCMs & Personalities / Re: How do you judge the OCM's?
« on: August 11, 2007, 04:00:46 PM »
I base my opinion of an OCM on their personality. Looks mean nothing to me. Okay, so I don't want an OCM wearing a sweater and bathing suit, but as long as they dress professionally, I'm happy appearance-wise. As far as personality goes...I like OCMs that seem to love their job. People who have fun and don't take themselves seriously like Dave Schwartz are the best IMO! I realize that weather forecasting is a serious job, but if you can't laugh at yourself once in a while, then I'm changing the channel. I also like OCMs that know their stuff and act natural on camera. People who are too serious (ie. Kristina Abernathy) turn me off.

I thought it was b/c of air? That if they didn't put a certain amount of air in the bag that the chips would go bad quicker? At least that's what I thought that what they said on Modern Marvels or How Do They Make That.

Not sure how you all thought Terry was a woman. I mean, do you realy think a female exec would make her female employees get plastic surgery!? :o

Don't we all use the same internet? I wasn't aware that there were different types?

I'd try to find the place they keep all their music and playlists from day one (that they SAY doesn't exist).

If he did that, I would never speak to him again! :P

Charles has actually visited this board (which I told him about 8)). He mentioned a topic the other day to me. Can't remember which one, though.

Yes, "In My Heart" was used in "The Burning Season," which aired in '94.
