General Weather Chat / Lack of cold east of the Rockies

Why is there a serious lack of cold air in the United States east of the Rocky Mountains! It was nearly 80 degrees here yesterday and it doesn't feel like Christmas one bit! Not just here in Alabama, but some family in the Chicagoland area r having 60s and it feels nothing like Christmas there either. Is it El Niño?

Winter Weather / Potential wintry mess in the southeast Monday and Tuesday

I am so unhappy about the pending winter storm for the Deep South Monday and Tuesday. Possibility of freezing rain, sleet and snow together. What a mess! Hope it doesn't turn out like the January 9-10, 2011 winter storm or the January 28-30, 2014 winter storm. I hate cold and winter storms.

Has anyone seen this show? It's full of crap! Here is what my friend and legendary tornado chaser Chuck Doswell said about it: Just watched "Tornado Alley: Twisted Believers" - from TWC. What a horrid pile of superstition and pseudoscientific claptrap! Whatever beliefs you might or might not have, this show has no validity as a program that ostensibly was produced to inform viewers about meteorological/psychological science! TWC should be ashamed for creating such a program ...

I saw a little of the show last night and it had UFOs on there, it was awful! Has anyone else seen it?

Is anyone on here (besides me) a weather history buff? Here is the place to talk about historic weather events, such as the Johnstown, Pennsylvania floods (3 of them; 1889, 1936 and 1977) Galveston, Texas 1900 hurricane, 1925 Tri-state tornado, March 1888 blizzard in NYC and New England, any historic weather event, even more recent ones.

Severe Weather / Severe Weather 2014

It has been quiet thus far this year, for the most part. However, things are starting to get very active. I'd hate to be in Little Rock, Arkansas tomorrow. Major threat there, and it will be a very slow-moving system, so it will be a multi-day severe weather outbreak. Threat of tornadoes tomorrow through Wednesday. Dr. Forbes has some high numbers, as well. 7/10 tomorrow.

This may seem like a dumb question, but since I haven't had much severe weather since the relaunch 3 months ago I wanted to ask this: Will severe weather alerts such severe thunderstorm and tornado watches and severe thunderstorm, tornado, and flash flood warnings still be scrolling at the bottom of the screen making loud beeps?

In the "Audio" section, on he "Promos and Segments" page, I can't get the "Weather You Can Always Turn To", Weather You Can Always Turn To - 2", or the "Prime Time Tonight clips to play. It gives me an error message every time.
