I looked around and didn't see another (recent) thread mentioning this, so I apologize if this has already been discussed. I haven't watched TWC in awhile, but I caught a few minutes briefly this afternoon. Have my eyes deceived me, or is Alexandra Steele back at TWC? I thought it sounded like her voice but I only had a few minutes to watch so I didn't get to catch if that was actually her or not.

She said she would also be filling in tomorrow,so I would assume the answer to that is yes. I wish she'd come back full time though,she was one of my all-time favorite OCMs.

Finally remembered my login for this site after two years..whoops 

Anyway,in case anyone didn't see,Alexandra Steele is back on TWC (temporarily) filling in alongside Dave Schwartz this afternoon. Feels like I'm back in middle school.

Wow. This is my first time on in a while and it's been interesting to read these threads. I had heard about the layoffs but hadn't gotten to really read about them in-depth. I am sorry to see Jeff Morrow and Adam Berg go,I enjoyed watching both of them. Hearing of Jeff's leaving took me back to my 8th grade year when I used to get up every morning and watch him and Jen on First Outlook. I feel like that was just yesterday although it was three and a half years ago. Best of luck to both Adam and Jeff on their future endeavors. Has anyone heard anything new about Heather's possible leaving? I hope she doesn't,she was one of the best IMO. Although I haven't had time to keep up with watching TWC lately,I'm still sad to see OCMs go. Decent ones at that.

Since this is the only Julie Martin thread that I see,I figured I would just post this here. I'm probably a little late on this (I haven't been able to watch TWC much since I started school),and there's nothing that I've seen on here about it,but Julie confirmed on her facebook today that she is pregnant. She's due on St.Patrick's Day. Congrats to her! 

Wow, really? I saw her today and I didn't even notice, until I went back through a video clip. The picture is blurry, but you can see the baby bump.

Yeah,I noticed the bump when she was standing at the wall doing the "top tweets of the day" segment. At first I thought maybe it was just her dress,but I could tell it wasn't. A few people asked her on her facebook if she was,and she said yes.

I saw Alex on CNN yesterday as well. They were talking about Halloween costumes. If anyone was listening closely, she said her daughter's name on air yesterday. Remember at TWC, she didn't say her name at all. But, it finally came out yesterday. Random thought....

What was it? Just curious.

Yes, I'm watching.  Even though it was recorded a couple years ago, it's good to see her on a TWC show. 

Agreed. I was really happy to see her on..though it seemed weird hearing "Hello I'm meteorologist Alexandra Steele".

IIRC,she had her baby on the first day of summer 2009,and she left that previous Friday. I wanna say she left around June 20th? And she was on maternity leave all that summer and returned in mid-September.

Yeah,she looks really pale. I think maybe that's it. We were used to her being pretty tan and she looks a lot more pale in that video.
