The IntelliStar 2's software is proprietary software that The Weather Channel customized for internal/headend use only. I doubt that you would be able to find the software anywhere, much less from them. Nowadays more Star units have been popping up on eBay with wiped hard drives since eBay sellers don't want to be held liable for any data that might be on the drives (This also includes PCs). You might be lucky if you do find one on eBay that does have the drives intact, but I doubt that it will.

I'm putting my money on the missing logo being a glitch.... I'm 99% sure this has happened before.

I think the glitch you're thinking about is when Weatherscan lost the whole background, including both the TWC and Weatherscan logos. Weatherscan is only missing the TWC logo right now.

According to TWC's The Front, Local Now is a service that TWC will provide to Over-The-Top TV providers such as SlingTV.

I'm pretty sure they won't. As much as we'd love the return of the old logo, I just can't see it happening. For them to make a new logo that doesn't match the current branding package, no. Something similar to the current one? Maybe. After all, TWC did use the old one for 23 years, IIRC (with some revisions).

Looking at what Star Team added (and removed) on the sidebar, I can see why most of the information is gone. Mainly it's due to Hardware and rendering limitations. If you look at the transitions, they are much more primitive and not as smooth as how the products used to animate. Hopefully Star Team finds a way to add more products to the sidebar.

Well not too long ago, after Comcast backed out of the Time Warner merger, Charter offered a bid for Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks. The FCC started the approval process last week.

Hello TWC Star Team! I would like to report that a fellow TWC fan is reporting that the Harrison, AR IntelliStar 2's SD feed is cut off a bit on the right side. It almost reaches the circular products on the sidebar. Thank You!
