Just got confirmation that a relaunch is set for mid October. From George Lott SVP of Television.

So, around October 13th then? How big will this relaunch be?

Rumors are swirling that another TWC relaunch, including an overhaul of LOT8s is due to roll in a few weeks. Can someone confirm this?

If that's true, could DISH, DTV customers get WATT for longform?

That is a sign of things to come, but that's about all I can say.  I like it too.

It sounds like you can't give details which is fine, I don't want you in trouble.  However can you at least tell us how close we are to that logo?

TWC and your Cable Company / The Weather Channel Interactive on DISH

Found something this morning, I thought DISH updated their TWC Program on Ch 100 and on TWC SD but it appears that It has its own channel? The Weather Channel Interactive now on Ch 213. It’s not a regular channel because it goes back to the last channel you were watching after 10 min or so.
Is this it or is this the start of something? The program itself is much improved! Now if only we can DTV’s LO8s!  WeatherNation wouldn’t be bad either along with TWC!

I have a question for all of you of have WN in your towns. Does the WN Stations in other cities have Paid Programming? I know about the required 3 hour Educational Block once a week.  However, about a month ago, it seems like the WN in Milwaukee WI has been overrun by Paid Programming from ONTV4YOU.com. Especially this weekend! Before this weekend, Paid Programming ran during the day 9 to 5 then, 10PM but WN was back before 4AM, Sun to Fri, no WN Sat night. This weekend, there has been more than that. Is WeatherNation making these decisions? Or, is it our station, WIWN?  It seems there’s always been problems with WeatherNation in Milwaukee. It makes it so hard to trust them to keep WN on!

Dish Network has Weatherscan but only in the major markets and other select areas.

I forgot about that. I wonder if/when they'll add the Milwaukee area?

I'm still upset that DirecTV brought back TWC in the first place. Dish better pull the plug next month and hopefully end up being a permanent dispute like what happened with DirecTV and G4. I'm also hoping this will create a "domino effect" with other providers dropping TWC. Dang it DirecTV, you were that close to toppling The "Weather" Channel Monopoly. 

I'm glad DTV got TWC back.  I'm not sold on WN's technical team yet. In the recent weeks, it's been off the air and a day behind on the local forecast and the LDL. And that's the local channel here in Milwaukee WI, it scares me to think what's happening on DTV's WN feed! Plus they don't have experts on there like they do on TWC. When TWC doesn't show longform, I don't see a problem with them. I'm hoping DISH ends up with both!

I wonder if this will factor in TWC'S contract renewal with DISH. It better not TWC!!! I think I saw in The DTV thread that DISH's contract is up in July.

You know,  I heard Chris Warren  promo that show this winter and it was supposed to debut in march.  I couldn't believe my ears when I herd it! I think it's time to get longform OFF OF TWC!!!!!!!

Really, TWC?    These graphics scare me more than Friday the 13th! 

Weather Channel SD and HD LOT8s with Friday the 13th graphics

WHY in the world does TWC consider Friday the 13th a holiday?!  It's not!  It was even on their "Holiday countdown" wheel.  Ugh.

Just saw a local forecast, why is this a problem?????? It's looks fine to me.

GLAD that this is over! I wonder how many people reacted to DTV when Sam started and now that Dave is coming back?

I'm also proud of DTV for the fact that WN gets to keep its promontion! Hopefully, this is the start of more than one weather channel, not just one.

As for cutting longform, I saw in one article that this will not affect TWC's Primetime Lineup, Of Course!!!  So, has the cutting been done already? Or, is DTV expecting more?


Hopefully, People are getting good service from WN now. I haven't found much if anything on YT about WN on DTV. Tried to view WN DTV other places, no luck!
