I'm going to Las Vegas for winter break. Anyone know how the weather is like down at Sin City during that time? I would hope the heat is not too unbearable.

Also, remember I said I was failing my exams? Well, my sociology professor gave a HUGE curve. Huge, as in 30 points, so now my 58 on the sociology midterm has gone up to an 88.

Banned because I have my 4th midterm of the semester today and I'm concerned that I'll fail it considering we have to write a fresh, brand new essay within 2 hours. If I fail it, it's no big deal, though. The midterm only serves as practice for the papers we do in class, but if I fail the final, then I fail the course.

The only way i could see the :08 and :38 2 minutes coming back is if Tru View Max Traffic is added. about the LBar i was told it was a test and viewer input was needed to either (keep it or remove it by the testing group) so anything other than that is pure speculation.

What exactly is your obsession with Tru View Max Traffic and TWC?

It's not really an obsession (i don't know where you got that idea from), all i'm basically saying is it would just be nice to see Traffic again on TWC sometime soon.

Alex, you've been makings posts here in this thread and elsewhere (I believe the IS2, General TWC Discussion) about Tru Max. Tyler obviously didn't mention anything about traffic, so he has a valid point about your obsession. If TWC has no interest in bringing traffic products back seeing that their contract with TrafficPulse expired, what would motivate them to use another service? I think the local forecasts are fine without the traffic products. I, never, have used the traffic products on the Local forecast as a method of finding our traffic. There's a reason why the radio, more specifically, FM traffic radio, exists.

Are you sure that Islip isn't just your backup reporting station? I find it wasteful to buy an IS2 only to have it merged with another one months later...

His IS originally reported from Islip, so it would make sense to use an Islip IS2 rather than Farmingdale, which is rather far from Islip..

Correct, plus Cablevision has several headends scattered throughout long Island so it's very possible to have seperate IS2s for these seperate headends.

You won't beleve this, but I found Dan Chandler (with his face shown) doing an educational special on trains. He hosts this made-for-video presientation from 1994 called Railroads of North America.

Thank you for posting the video! It's neat to see what the narrators "look like" and what jobs they do in addition to TWC. I wonder if Allen Jackson has done any segments like this.

OK, so all this copyrighted stuff seems like a big issue lately. People's accounts are getting strikes, closed, etc... Are companies creating stricter rules, is YouTube really starting to crack down, or are people just oblivious to these copyright rules? Not to be rude, but I don't understand what's so hard about it.

It's not always the companies its more like the artists targeting people for using their music in playlist test clips and emulations.

The economy. People (artists) are more than ever hungry for money, so they will do whatever they can to make a profit in these times

Alex, how many videos did your channel have? If you had a ton of emulations and LOT8 videos with music on them, Youtube probably had a good reason to knock the account out. Multiple 3rd party copyright violations almost took me down on Youtube, before I deleted a lot of my videos.

No, trust my words - my account was suspended for the same reason last month.
