Oh yah.
I'm surprised the midwest is red. It certainly didn't seem above normal. We had record snows in winter and our summer was rather cool. There was hardly any days above 90, let alone 100.
It's not by much though. Note how small the red dots are over your area. That means it was just a degree or two above normal. You're looking at just high temperatures, but what about your lows? In the end, the average temperature from each day is what counts. I know my area broke all kinds of records for low temperatures being so high back in summer despite only having a few high temperatures breaking records.
Yeah, one night in the summer here in Monroe, MI the low didn't drop below 80 or 82.
Once in mid-late October, the low was in the mid 70s!
