#3 is the lie.

1.- I'm 15 and in 10th grade.
2.- I was born in 1997.
3.- I'm very interested in meteorology.

I also heard "Weather Radio" numerous times over the past few days. That might be my favorite song on the playlist.

TWC should start playing some of Chet Atkin's and Bob Rafkin's songs, those would really fit with they type of instrumental music they're plaing now.

Hello, Gary "lfmusiclover." I don't think I was registered on the forums back in the day when you were the moderator, but it's nice to see another fan back on the forums.

Eric Fisher?
Actually, it was Todd Santos. He says "at least" a lot.

I thought we might as well bring back this game.

Guess which OCM would say this:

Let's show you at least some of the areas impacted by this storm. At least some areas will pick up at least a few inches of snow. There are at least some winter weather advisories in at least some of the areas. Now let's go to Jen, who will show you at least some of the areas that will be impacted by the storm that moving at least across the southern U.S.
:P

Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion

Just caught the tail-end of an interview with a so-called election expert conducting by Jenn Carfagno on the effects of weather on this election. I could not believe the guy when he said Sandy will favor Obama because he has handled the storm so well. That's contrary to what I've been hearing. Is the TWC becoming a political animal?  Please bring back the good ole days.
I saw that as well. It seems that TWC has a pro-liberal bias.

At 7:25 PM ET this evening, TWC aired the '05-'08 Weekend Planner (I believe) opener music as background to the sponsor, before going to a commercial.
Do you mean Weekend Outlook? Weekend Planner was discontinued in 2005; there was never an 05-08 version.
Yes, Weekend Outlook.

Hi Alex,

The instrumental playlist is for severe weather, and it will end after Sandy coverage dies down.

I appreciate it,
Melissa

I can't handle the vocal music, it turns my stomach upside down every time I hear it
Amen to that.

None of the playlists have been added since April 2011.

Definitely looks quite degraded, but it's always great to see another legacy STAR still in use. Nice catch!

Just last week I saw a WeatherStar XL out of Lapeer, MI. STAR ID is 1297, observation site is Flint. This STAR is my Monroe Charter Communications backup STAR.

If TWC just switches to instrumentals during storms and times of higher ratings, that tells me that they are embarrassed of the vocals and know it's unprofessional. Just stick with one choice so you don't need to alter the playlists. Just my opinion.
I agree. They should just stick with a more professional type of music [instrumental].

OCM's are way too underdressed these days...it's unbelievable. Back when I was a younger kid in the late 90's/2000's men wore suits, and women wouldn't dare look "easy" like they do now...

"Funky Falcon" by David Reinstein. I think I'm just old enough to remember that song when it played on TWC.

Local on the 8's from Frankfort KY 2
