Happy Columbus Day, everyone!  Yeah, I know it doesn't really feel like a holiday even though it is one of the ten officially recognized by the government every year.  I was even working today regardless, but I do get holiday pay for it.

Wow, another heafty storm just rolled through NYC and Queens producing gusty winds, hail, and occasional to frequent lightning. The visibility was really low at times according to the live shots from NY on TWC. They've got hit hard quite a few more times than normal these past couple months.

It is currently 55 degrees and sunny. Yesterday, with sunshine, the temperature made it to 88, breaking the old record of 87 in 1939!

I don't really see anything special about 10/10/10.  It's just a normal day like any other.

You're right it is, the only thing special about it is that today is the 10th month on the 10th day of the 10th year of the century or "10/10/10" like 7/7/07 it's considered lucky. WV did a whole segment on this day today relating to couples getting married today.

Speaking of weddings and 10/10/10, a local news station meteorologist is getting married today. He said that they were planning it for 10 years.

She must have been thinking "Your Weather Today." since she's been filling in during YWT a few times this past week.

Seeing Heather on YWT again this week has been a relapse for me, I really wish they had of kept her on there with Carl being her co-host. It's been over a year now and I still don't like seeing A&B on in the mornings.

Yeah, I can't handle Abrams' hyperness in the morning.

Green Onions played in the background during Blizzard Bill Spencer's radio broadcast Friday morning. Then, after the forecast, the broadcasters and Bill started talking about some wedding and he said: "We don't want Green Onions at the wedding." A second later the music stopped.
