Hurricane Central / Re: Super Typhoon Megi

Super Typhoon Megi is in the top 10 strongest storms in the world! There's going to be a lot of casualities in the western Pacific Islands in the next day or so.
That is scary!  The sustained winds are currently 180 mph as you said, but I saw a report from the Joint Typhoon Warning Center that it may had peaked at 185 mph sustained winds and a pressure of 893 mb over the last 12 hours.  I really hope the people in the Philippines will be okay, but I'm afraid there will be substantial loss of life and destruction there.  Furthermore, Megi is predicted to make a second landfall over southeastern China later in the week.  It'll still be a very strong typhoon at that point.
Wow, rarely does any storms' pressure fall belom 900mb...

Super Typhoon Megi in the western Pacific is about to bear down on parts of Manila and the Phillipenes. 180 mph sustained winds, with gusts around 220 mph are possible with this dangerous monster.

63 and Fair.
Most of the leaves on my trees are gone. Though, the trees (different kind than mine), across the street have barely turned color yet.

This may seem like a dumb question, but does anyone know if Jim Cantore and Alexandra Steele are (or once was) in a relationship?:

Tell you the truth, there was no telling because when Jim had gotten the divorce, him and Alexandra were all over each other. And, plus there's no telling if he was cheating on his wife with her or not. That's just my opinion. But, him and Alex had something going outside of the studios I bet because she had this habit of touching him all the time and flirting with him right on air.  :dunno:

Yes, I remember sometimes when Jim said something funny, Alexandra would laugh, flirt, and touch his arm... :P

They should just be glad they're getting out alive!
They need to be very thankful.  Not too long ago on April 6 of this year, 25 miners in WV didn't come out alive during a mine explosion.  It should really tell you all how dangerous mining can be, but it's a way of life for some people.
A similiar event in WV also happened in January of 2006 when 12 out of 13 miners died in a mine explosion. The lone survivor happened to be the youngest miner too. Maybe age played a role for the survival of the Chilean miners too?
I doubt it, it must have just been a coincidence. One of the miners (the eldest) in the Chilean mine is 62.

Also, my ELA teacher has been keeping us well informed on the rescue. He said a few weeks ago that they might not be rescued until Thanksgiving.  That certainly has changed.
