I also thought I heard somewhere that lightning rod wasn't getting enough questions in. So this segment was most likely going to be postponed or canceled.Lightning Rod repeats the same question every hour on Weather Center that night.

ALERT: A comment came out about 30 minutes ago on Cantore/Steele's Facebook page. It reads:
Hi Everyone! We have to postpone tonight's "Ask The Weather Channel" .. but no fear! We will answer your questions soon. We'll let you know when as soon as we can. Thanks again for your questions!
We'll, I'm kind of disappointed. But hopefully they can go on with it within the next week...

Monroe Custer Airport is actually down atm and that report is from yesterday at 3:15 PM ETI just noticed that on the NWS website. Something must be wrong with the instruments over at MCA. Also, local news/weather stations are reporting nothing under Monroe.

I'm not sure if they're gonna do this in segments this time. What a good way to bump the LR crew till tomorrow.Hopefully they'll answer questions again for a half hour. I'm surprised you're still alive, TWCmatthew. Winds at 939 mph can't sustain life.
I also noticed that weather observation error. It's been showing that since last night. It is windy here, (about 25 mph), but I don't think the wind gusted to 939 mph today...

A segment is airing tonight on Weather Center called Ask TWC. Ask TWC also aired one night in July 2010. Basically, you can ask TWC questions via Facebook, Twitter, or weather.com. I asked two questions:
Can tornadoes form during a snowstorm if the wind sheer and instability is supportive?
Jim, I remember when you got excited when there was lightning during a snowstorm (a.k.a. thundersnow). Why is thundersnow so rare compared to lightning of a summertime thunderstorm?
Do you have questions that you asked TWC either from this time or last time, and did you get them on air? Post them here!
