I finally got around to processing my videos from last week on the day Rich and Adam worked together; there was some pretty funny stuff...

Sunrise Weather thus far is basically the opener of the first half hour of Weekend Outlook, nothing more.

The style of the logo with the horizon makes me feel like I'm in 2003-2005 all over again...

It's not bumping unless it's done solely for attention.

Anyway, the opener graphic is pretty interesting; it would be nice to see an entire show spun out of this, but logistically, it seems quite odd.

Everything Else TWC / Sunrise Weather is real! FOR SURE! (as of 10/4/08)

At the bottom of this hour, they played the opener for Sunrise Weather, which used the same music as the WO opener. In the studio, however, the LCD screen still said "Weekend Outlook", and Ray Stagich also called it Weekend Outlook.

I wonder where this is going to go from here...

That reminded me a lot of that VTR error during the EEWC repeat on July 4, 2007 when it had those green, black, and white bars doing through the video throughout the whole hour, taking down the network for several minutes at a time.

Just now...

Vivian: Now with more on your forecast, here's Nick.

Nick: Yeah, let's talk a little bit more about that.

But, it sure wants you to watch HURRICANE COVERAGE ON THE WEATHER CHANNEL YOUR HURRICANE AUTHORITY, doesn't it?

BTW, as for the whole hotel issue; they don't use DirecTV remotes, and without those, I don't think there's going to be any way to make this feature work.

well, go get your local weather now, dammit. <_<

Maybe that hiccup was related to the interactive feature; perhaps something went haywire over there when they tried to activate it?

Anyway, you say there's no LDL on DirecTV right now? How about the interactive feature? I wonder if we'll see that during the ICHT LF or not... Even so, it's pretty silly that you can only activate it during the LF since it's all done locally on your box anyway. :/

Yeah, that was really weird. It took them forever to finally realize something was wrong; by that point, they might as well have let the LF run to completion; there were only like 15 seconds left anyway.

A hilarious moment happened on EEWC tonight during the start of the final Tropical Update. Sharon was introducing the segment from the desk, and the said, "Now, for a look at the tropics, we turn it over to Jeff..." Rich popped up on the LCD screen then and did the "Rich Johnson arm fold" with one hand on his chin with a look of "???" on his face. Sharon started laughing and was like, "Wow, Rich, I'm really sorry; I don't know where in the world that came from!" Rich did his characteristic sigh and was like, "Yeah, I guess that's not the first time in my life I've been called 'Jeff'. Anyway...let's go."

Carl is also filling in for Alexandra tonight...
