I can't believe they did this! There's no way they can function under the current schedule with such a lack of OCMs. My guess is that a lot of shows are going to go solo from here, and maybe more long-form is going to get added.

They used the Weekend Outlook opener at the beginning of Sunrise Weather today. They also used the dark blue EE L3rds throughout Sunrise Weather and Weekend Outlook.

Someone must've been asleep this morning.

The lower thirds have been that way ever since they switched to the crappy production two weeks ago. It sucks.

Tonight was a pretty fun night on Abrams & Berg in preparation for Steph's Groundhog Day trip to Punxsutawney. They interviewed Steph's field producer from Steph's last trip out there in 2004, and at the end of the show, Steph, Adam, and Paul were all wearing their black top hats.

The attempted recovery from that was horrible; they resumed the commercials where the left off, but since they were manually overriding the rundown in order to do that, they forgot to kill the LDL at the end of that A&B segment, so the subsequent LF had the freezing issue that results from having the LF running over the LDL, and it didn't get better until the LF shut off over 30 seconds into the next A&B segment.

What a dumb way to start Evening Edition at 8 ET. With EE music, they used the "Why I Love Winter Opener" and didn't even show the regular EE opener. So if I didn't know any better, I could have thought that "Why I Love Winter" was actually on.

I think they use the 8pm EE hour very.... "loosely"... I think they use this to screw around with stuff or something... i.e. wrong lower third, wrong music package, etc... They need to really pick something to put at 8pm... if they want it to be EE, then make it really EE and put the amazing effort into making it EE. If they want to to be A&B, then put forth 100% effort into making it A&B... They've been slipping a lot lately... Especially with the 8pm hour and EEWC...

They're usually pretty good with the 8 PM ET hour, but some nights they do slip up, usually by still having the lower thirds light blue.

I'm kind of surprised that this hour of EE is being done by Steph and Carl instead of Paul and Alexandra. I wonder if the repeat of WWCH will be preempted or not...
