I understand what you're saying; I'm just saying that Master doesn't use the show-specific Live keys any longer; they just use the generic blue one.

They've now switched over to the normal PME Live tag now.

BTW, AFAIK, master control can't use customized Live tags.
Sigh, yes Master can, they all come from a frame sync which can be frozen with ANY key.
Okay, fine, I should've said that they don't

Everything Else TWC / Re: Dave Schwartz is on weather.com tonight

I'm so glad I happened to check in on weather.com tonight. This is the first time since Memorial Day that I've seen him on there. I'm currently in the process of downloading them right now (yes, I found out where the raw video is stored).

He spent over 1/3 of the Baltimore forecast talking about french fries. It started when Dave asked whether or not people in Baltimore still put gravy on their fries. So, do they, Gary? :P

Actually, yes we do still put gravy on our fries. A very popular treat in these parts indeed.

That actually does sound pretty good; I might have to try that soon.

They took out the isobars? <_<
Well, they still exist on the "Current Weather" map, but that map isn't used very often.

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: I'm Now Officially a FiOS TV Customer!
« on: February 15, 2008, 11:47:30 PM »
Get this... I just called Comcast to cancel our services, and the dept. who handles cancellations was already done for the night, but the dept. that handles new customers or new service for existing customers is there 27/4. What a crock of :censored:

27 hours per day and 4 days per week? What the heck kind of a world do you live in? :ninja:

Tonight during EE, Jim was showing the VIL products on SkyTracker to show hail cores. This is the first I've seen the VIL products on air in quite a while.
So true, they haven't used those in ages. Does TWC feel that they're too "complicated" for their viewers?

Local Forecast / Re: Here's the February 2008 playlist

I'd really like a two-minute, narrationless clip of "Rose Colored Glasses," but I can't even get one to air on TWC for me to record. I don't remember the last time I personally heard that song play during a two-minute LF.

In the end, he only wound up doing one segment at :30 past; it was still an interesting move to have him on A&B. I'm guessing they did that to bring variety to the show rather than having Steph do the entire show alone.

It was also odd that Jim Cantore was wearing a full suit tonight, yet he strangely didn't even wear a tie for the entire rest of the week. It should be the other way around...

I thought HD TV's didn't do anything to standard definition programming.
it did to mine
It depends whether or not the network upconverts their programming. For example, TWC upconverts all of their studio programming; even though it's not true HD, the picture clarity is still amazing.
You also have to think about the acual pixel, 4:3 and 16:9 refer to the actual pixel size as well. There is a pixel difference between a LCD and HDTV LCD screen.
Okay, I see where you're coming from, but I don't get what point you're making.

There's a song called "The Schwartz Be With You?" That's pretty interesting considering January 2007 was the month Dave returned full-time after his cancer battle.

It's so great to have the normal LF openers back again, especially the nighttime beach one, which I think is actually pretty funny considering that it's a parody of the original beach opener.

They've also brought back the "Bringing Weather to Life" cloud bumper at the top of the hour and replaced all of the WWCH openers with drought tips and Forecast Earth contest promos. There hasn't been a mention of WWCH all day!
