Now we're back to full-time WWCH mode! *faints*

OCMs & Personalities / Re: Bob Stokes

If Bob is indeed gone from TWC, and he left on good terms, maybe he'll be in the same boat as Warren Madden and appear as a freelance OCM.

I really hope so, but Warren only did what he did because he has time to do so with his current line of employment. Bob, in all likelihood, would seek another full-time job, but here's hoping he comes back to our living rooms/kitchens/bedrooms someday soon. :P

BTW, why can't any former TWC OCMs ever seem to come to Chicago these days?

How about taking a little trip down memory lane with some pictures of Bob on the Weather Channel...

That picture with Bob and Lisa Mozer is actually from 1997. I didn't realize he's been around that long! Courtesy goes to Shaun for the video that came from.

Hopefully I'll be able to find some more pics soon.

The Game Room / OCM Talk
« on: February 16, 2008, 11:51:45 PM »
I just got idea from what Billy did in another topic here. How about a game where we caption OCM pictures to make a discussion. Here's the big rule: Your caption must be in response to the conversation that's already going; it can't be completely random. I'll start...

"I really miss Bob Stokes!"

Also strange was the WWCH bumper at the top of the hour. Things were really weird at the top of the hour.

I used a HTTP header logging Firefox extension to find the url, which is in the following format...

***

The actual file name is the name of the city/region/segment you want i.e.,

***

***

***

...and so on...

This video is weird; the Allen Jackson narration for Sunday at the end completely fails.

So we dont know for sure where Bob is?

Not really, but evidence points to him being gone from TWC.

A little heads up: Dave is back doing the weather.com gig again tonight, my friend.

I wonder if this is going to be a regular thing for him now. (Perhaps in place of Bob Stokes?)

P.S., I wish I had a batch downloader... :P

Yet another random thought: I noticed that a few days ago, the LCD TV next to the Global Forecast Center was removed, and I noticed today that the TV on the right side of the big desk looks different than before. I do know that the TV at the big desk started going bad recently, so I wonder if they took the GFC TV and moved it over to the big desk because they didn't want to buy a new TV for a set that will go out of use by the end of the year. I might be wrong about this, though; I'll have to go back and check if it really is a different TV at the big desk now.

Tonight on EE, Skytracker is being controlled by a third party off-camera, just like on the weeknight EE. I wonder if the weeknight behind-the-scenes crew is running the show tonight.

I can't believe I've gone the entire day without hearing "Rose Colored Glasses". Maybe (hopefully) it aired during the NASCAR race; I was recording TWC during that time.

BTW, Kyle, do you know exactly what happened when Master Controlled shows upgraded their production capabilities (which is also when they stopped using custom Live keys)? Is this when they moved into the new (HD capable) Master Control room that was mentioned in several articles?
