Well, they're still going to syndicate it to see if they can generate interest, but if there isn't interest after that, we might see it gone for good.

Everything Else TWC / Larry McReynolds stops by TWC's studios
« on: March 08, 2008, 12:12:33 AM »
This morning on Your Weather Today, it was time to fire up the ol' Celebrity Forecast segment again when Larry McReynolds, former crew chief and current analyst for NASCAR on Fox, came on the show. During his Fox broadcasts, he has often spoken of his liking of TWC and especially Jim Cantore, so I'm sure this was a treat for him.

BTW, did you notice that Larry, not Marshall, is the one exactly matching Heather's outfit today? I wonder if this was a part of some wacky plan...

I taped two hours of Dave and Jeff's antics today from 2 PM ET to 4 PM ET. I'll post some best ofs. :P

Thank you! *worships*

What a disappointment; I purposely recorded today knowing Jeff and Dave would probably be on, but my Satellite box let me down and didn't display video after 1:10 PM CT. It's really a shame because it seems like the show got funnier later on; the first hour (which I do have) seemed pretty ordinary.

There were some funny moments yesterday, though. Maybe I can get those up on here.

I was going to post the link, but I forgot to check back in on this topic until now. Thanks for picking up my slack, Billy!

I just posted about this in the other thread. It's a frozen EE 05-07 background that's being used.

Now tonight on EEWC, the 03-05 style lower thirds have surfaced again. (with the frozen 05-07 EE background)

Everything Else TWC / David and Jeffaroo battle the bad scripts
« on: March 06, 2008, 11:19:39 PM »
It seemed like David and Jeffaroo were plagued by a number of bad scripts today. First, there was the typical situation where the Weather Center script still uses the name "Day Planner" because no one changed it from earlier in the day. At the bottom of both hours of Weather Center, Dave was left with the responsibility of dealing with that issue at the end of the teaser, and the way he handled it was quite interesting. At 2:30 CT, Dave recognized that the name of the show on the script was wrong, but instead of saying "Weather Center," he said "PM Edition" instead. Then, at 3:30 CT, he said "Weekly Planner" instead of "Day Planner"

The script got really weird at 2:55 PM CT at the end of the first hour of Weather Center when Dave began to read, "Dave Schwartz and Jeff Morrow are up next...Hey! That's us!" Apparently someone loaded up the script from the end of the last shift, which was three hours prior to that event.

Notice that Dave is much better off just winging the show rather than using a script? For instance, he sounded much more comfortable at 3 PM CT when he went off the script and introduced the show with, "...there's some good news with the drought, Jeffaroo! Hit it, boys!"

Local Forecast / Re: Trammell Sightings
« on: March 06, 2008, 01:27:16 AM »
Apparently they lost the ability to broadcast live from the studio there. The commercials at :06 and the LF played fine, but the Trammell LF returned at :10 and lasted for the entire studio segment. The live studio feed returned at :20.

I'm assuming they'll simply use the first hour's segments when this hour is supposed to be rebroadcast at 2 AM CT.

While his thoughts might be good in theory, he might have problems supporting the old TWC in this day and age.

Why are we even having this conversation? :whistling:

Actually, I think tonight's episode might have aired before, but I saw the promo for next Sunday's episode, and that one definitely is new.

...and I would have to agree with that as well. Today, there was moderate severe weather activity, but TWC chose to continue with the usual lineup of programming.
