We couldn't even go five minutes tonight on EEWC. At 11:05 PM CT, we heard something along the lines of:

Sharon: Now let's take a look at the West with Rich.
Rich: Yeah, let's do that! Let's look at the West.

On another note, Rich is wearing his "meltdown night" suit tonight. It would be funny if another meltdown happened to occur tonight.

Basically, the big corporations simply don't care enough to make their sites compliant; apparently they feel it's not worth their time. I've been an advocate of W3C for years now thanks to the influence of a web design board I used to frequent. I think it's a good thing for cross-browser compatibility, but I agree, it can be a pain to code it properly, and going from scratch would be the only way pretty much for this site.

After having Carl Parker on EE last week, Paul surfaced for one special day on Saturday for severe weather coverage, but now we're back to Carl again. I wonder what's up with that.

I'd have to agree with you on that. I seem to remember hearing it from Rich for a while before Sharon started saying it. Then after I heard her say it, I thought it was weird how suddenly she started saying it.

If you've ever watched EEWC with Rich and Sharon, you might have noticed that they both frequently say, "Yeah, let's do that," when being tossed to from the other partner. I wonder which one of the two came up with that phrase. Either way, it's interesting how one of them managed to influence the other person like that by causing him/her to use this phrase.

It's not even four hours a week. Sunday is his only normal day. He only works Saturday if it's an absolute emergency; otherwise Ray Stagich and Alex Wallace handle Saturday.

Its good to see him looking loose around Krisitin, as he usually does not. He's usually at his worst when he's paired with her.

Yeah, her and Carl are usually his worst partners unless he just randomly decides to let loose like he did today. Ironically, he works with Kristin and Carl more often than with anyone else these days. I wonder why that is.

Speaking of Dave, he was on the ball today, despite working with Kristin. He pretty much had no inhibition today, doing anything from humming "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" to "Schwartz on Sports" to messing with the sound effects to blowing his nose and giggling to introduce a WeatherReady segment to talking about his favorite subject: wet t-shirt contests. (Of course he speaks only from what he's told. It's not as if he's ever actually been to one or anything. )

I believe they are live until 2am, then from there until 4am everything is taped.

Yes, that's how it works on weekdays. On weekends, the Midnight-1AM ET hour is live, which repeats one hour later. They're back live with Weekend Outlook at 4:30 AM ET, and the 1 AM and 3 AM hours are long form, just like the 4:00-4:30 AM block.
