Tonight on A&B, Kelly is filling in on A&B, with her hair tied back into a ponytail at that! I can't remember anyone other than Kristina this past summer for a few days sporting a ponytail in recent years.

The horrible audio was finally fixed at some point this afternoon; it was an issue during Day Planner but not during PM Edition.

I'm not sure if it's been fixed yet, but there was a horrible audio problem earlier today where all full-controlled programming's audio was playing way too heavily through the right speaker. It created a very weird effect, to say the least.

I know, yet another failure on the programming director's part. Since they already committed to airing long-form tonight, they have to stick with it no matter what unless the programming director (who obviously doesn't care to step up when it's needed) changes his/her mind.

The HD feed was having similar problems at the same time. I saw the 3:58 CT LF, and it started with static for audio before switching over to the emergency feed. This time, however, they actually switched back to the LF once it was fixed, normally they run the emergency feed for the entire LF timeslot.

Seriously, since today is Wednesday, the weekend OCMs who work Wed-Fri are finally here to get us out of this solo-OCM thing that's been going on for a while. Carl Parker and Dave Schwartz did Day Planner while Vivian Brown and Kristin Dodd worked Weather Center. Betty Davis is also back, so that helps. Heather is still out on YWT, so Kevin Robinson actually worked with Marshall today, and Nicole finally got to go out and do her Sea World reporting today.

Carl and Kevin will be gone tomorrow, but Bill and Sam will hopefully both be available. Sam would probably take Heather's spot on YWT, so could we possibly see Dave and Bill working Day Planner? Does anyone know when they last worked together?

She actually does fairly frequently Wed-Fri as long as someone else is off and Dave can't work the spot. (either because he's off or working some other shift that particular day)

The same thing happened tonight, but this time, it was advertised in advance. The OCMs didn't know anything about it, though; Mike Bettes told us that WWCH was to follow A&B.

I guess TWC is finally realizing that WWCH is getting old?

Sharon brings up a good point: a lot of younger kids are on spring break right now. I wonder if that explains the many absences at TWC this week. Then again, some of the people who are off (like Steph) don't have any kids to begin with, but most do, I think.

It looks like TWC noticed the same problem we did with that Hurricane Central key wall. I noticed tonight that TWC used today's solo OCM schedule to put up a whole bunch of new lights so that the wall is now lighted much better. Good job, TWC.

Don't forget about Jim Cantore; he's either in Southern Georgia or Florida now based on what Carl Parker was saying over the weekend.

This comes, of course, after Jim was in Florida to start last week, came back to the studio for one day at the end of last week, and went right back (presumably on actual vacation instead of assignment this time)
