Now the Trammell music on the emergency feed is completely garbled, and the glimpse of the control room feed at the start of the segment was completely green static with white lines going through it.

Well, they're aware of it now. As of 4:10 CT, the emergency feed is playing on the HD channel during studio segments. At least that still has black pillar boxes!

Somebody needs to tell HD Master that the all of the audio coming from the control room is garbled horribly; it's coming through as nothing but a "static" noise.

Yeah, the bars are blue with small TWC|HD| logos in the background behind a large |HD| logo in the center of each pillar box.

I meant to say stylized pillar boxing started today; they were black before today. I'd much prefer the black ones back.

Everything Else TWC / TWC has started pillar boxing 4:3 programming
« on: May 29, 2008, 07:07:12 AM »
Starting with today's YWT, TWC has started pillar boxing SD programming on the HD channel. IMO, it's kind of annoying. I *hate* pillar boxing. It distracts from the program and just rubs in the fact that it's not HD.

They use Carl when they're in a temporary bind, but methinks they'll want a woman long-term. Sharon has experience on the shift, but who else is there to work EEWC? Would they just send Rich out there alone every night? (No, don't take Sharon away!)

Betty Davis or Samantha Mohr also make sense because they're on PM Edition, which is the next logical shift to pull from due to its proximity to EE. Of course, in the past, they've used people from completely different shifts to fill in for OCMs on maternity leave. Who knows, they might even pull someone like Nicole Mitchell (YWT Travel Analyst, just like Alexandra once was) if she's up to the task of working nights instead of mornings.

11:41 CT

Rich: Now here's Sharon with a look at the next seven days.

Sharon: Alrighty, let's take a look at that.

11:43 CT

Sharon: Now here's Rich with a look at temps.

Rich: Ok, let's do so.

They seem to have these nights every now and then where it just doesn't stop!

Sharon: Now with a look at all of the forecast details, here's Rich.

Rich: Yeah, let's do that.

11:06 CT

Rich: For a look at what's coming up, here's Sharon.

Sharon: All right, that sounds like a plan.

11:22 CT

Sharon: Now let's find out about the temps with Rich.

Rich: Yeah, let's find out.

Betty Davis was wearing a bunch of Alexandra-like clanky bracelets tonight. I guess she's getting ready to fill the role. Speaking of which, I wonder if she could seriously be a candidate?

Well, they're not supposed to use it when a forecast map is shown away from the wall, from what I can tell.

I thought there was only a short version. (:08, :28, :38, and :58)

Yeah, Alex shouldn't have the baby until late October or November at the earliest. Then again, some people's baby bumps start to show later than others, so early-mid October is always a small possibility.

You can really see that bump tonight. She's preggers. :P

Shall we start betting on her fill-in? (and possibly replacement if the EE pregnancy curse holds true)

There's only one and a half hours of overnight music on Saturday. Friday is a safer bet. I could also see what I can do. I wish I knew what it sounds like.
