I actually saw that in one of the preview videos somewhere. They had part of the right side of the screen solid green.

Sharon just responded to the Travel opener yet again at 11:10 CT.

*Travel opener plays*

Sharon: All right, we promised to take you traveling, so let's go do that.

Do they have the same amount of staff to run everything? They seem pretty understaffed during this shift and unable to change camera locations on the fly.

I wonder if EEWC will go fully live for the first time in HD tonight; there's a lot of severe weather going on tonight.

Nope, but Sharon's using the projector wall, and Rich is using the key wall. Looks like Master can only use the projector wall for one OCM per broadcast.

Now they've got Dr. Forbes in the HD studio for the first time; he's using the telestrator on the end of the desk.

It appears that there is an issue going on with the SD satellite LF, and they're switching over to the emergency feed at the end of the LF. Can anyone with satellite back me up on that one?

Yeah, there's radar/satellite data missing, so the normal satellite LF is ending early, leaving a black screen until they switch to the emergency feed.

However, to support the SkyTracker argument, I just saw that "West Point" was still written in the Interstate font.

They've got a weird setup there now for sure; perhaps they're piping the SkyTracker feed through Titan, if that's possible? They were piping WPS through SkyTracker last week at times.

Cheryl called it Titan this morning on FO. She also said that the WPS-esque maps were running on Titan.

Abrams & Bettes has slowly been taking a turn away from the show focused around Mike and Steph towards being a more weather-focused show. The biggest leap came this January when they started doing the Weekly Planner and started covering much more weather at the maps. It's a good direction for the show, I think.

...and the new opener is awesome!

Anyone else notice that they're now using L3s for Mike and Steph's names? Before they were like the President of The United States is on every network: you don't display their names because you should know who they are.

TrafficPulse isn't going anywhere. When you start driving to work you'd probably couldn't live without it.

What if it doesn't cover your route?

That Severe Update graphic is a part of the A&B package; why are they using it all day on PME?

Wow, I missed the 2007 part as well. That sounded like a lot of foresight for 2007.
