They need more meteorologists; I think part of the reason they've been preempting less on weekends is that there are only two shifts of OCMs available from 2PM ET all the way until 4:30 AM ET. Something needs to be done about this.

Kind of, but it's serious at the same time.

I have now uploaded a number of other videos including the Weekend Outlook ones. I still couldn't get the Weekend Now opener off of my DVDs yet, however.

Now Cheryl just did Dave's favorite maneuver: Pop-up in front of the key wall!

At 3:50 CT when it was time for the Tropical Update, there was a loud crashing noise as Cheryl was talking to the wall, and all of a sudden we were switched to the microphone audio of Cheryl's top-of-the-hour partner who was apparently getting ready to go on-the-air.

Edit: And that partner turned out to be none other than Mark Mancuso! He's back! Let's party with the long-timers! :twothumbs:

Now to continue Weekend Outlook's identity confusion, we've still got the Weekend Planner segment openers, but now they're using the 05-07 Weekend Outlook bumper music to go to commercial. Hey, at least they got rid of the LIVE tag.

Edit: Hmmm... now they're using the LIVE tag at the desk but not at the key wall.

Dear Severe Weather,

For the sake of The Weather Channel, please only occur on weekdays, not weekends.

Thank you very much for your cooperation,

Steve

Viz is sure having a lot of problems tonight; during the last segment, it froze at the start and then started repeating every map twice. Kristin remarked about how "That's what you get with new technology."

It's true, Viz|Weather has always been problematic since they installed it.

Now they're using the projector version of the Weekly Planner maps at the key wall, causing it to get cut off a little on the edges.

I just heard Adam Berg refer to Viz|Weather 600. I haven't heard of that Vizrt unit until now.

I should read all of the topics before posting... >_>

Then during the next segment, they were stuck on the 5-day forecast for Indianapolis while Adam had to talk through everything that was supposed to be presented. He commented, "That's what happens when you have too many people touching things at once."

Apparently they now have at least 6 Viz|Weather sources now (Viz 600). Anyone hear any higher numbers used?

They should put Adam and Kristin back on PME Weekend, as well. Sharon and Mike Bettes/Rick/Carl used to do four hours a night back in the day. Surely Adam and Kristin would be able to do three hours while Carl and Kristina also do three hours?

TWC HD > NASCAR bushwackers.  :)
:offtopic:

Actually, there were only four Buschwhackers in the field at Nashville; most of the Cup guys were at the 2.5 mile triangle here in Pennsylvania.

True, it's sad that we can't get that every weekend in Nationwide. I wish something could be done about all the Cup drivers.

Back on topic, does anyone else think tonight's EE was better than the weekday edition? I do.

I'm already liking the presentation of the weekend version better than the weekday version; there are a lot more wide shots of the studio and usage of different areas of the studio. I liked the way Kristin at the wall tossed to Adam at the LCD screen on the right to do the forecast for the South.
