I think September 10, 2001. I always remember thinking how weird it was making my first TWC recording the day before 9-11.

Well, they probably already rehearsed a little bit in June for that one-time PME stint on the 4th of July, so perhaps they only needed a little more practice yesterday.

Today, they've decided to switch things up a little and put Kevin Robinson on FO instead of Kim. I guess he's all ready for HD as well, so why can't we just do Weekend Now in HD already?!? *gets impatient*

Wow, they actually did that? I didn't watch that much during that year. :(

Did they have key walls, or did they just talk while showing the maps on the screen?

All five options! :thrilled:

OMG, paradox!

Figures; that's only one week before I head off to college.

Since Mike and Kristina are anchoring WC today, I wonder if Vivian and Nick are rehearsing for HD right now. Nick obviously needs work.

This sucks. Figures I just got up a half hour ago and didn't get to experience any of it.

This week Kim is on First Outlook filling in for Jeff since she's apparently the only Monday-Tuesday OCM with HD training.

The outage is also happening on the HD LF, so apparently there's some sort of playlist issue. (which hasn't happened in a very long time; Trammell outages in recent times have all been issues with the satellite LF breaking)

Sadly, I think Fair Weather isn't a part of the new Trammell playlist; that's a shame because that's also one of my favorite songs.

At the start of this hour of Weather Center, the two-person lower third under Kristina read:

RYAN GOSWICK
ABERNATHY

What the heck?

Programming and Graphics / Re: Old segment openers being re-used?

They'd have to do something before WO goes HD; the 2003-2005 openers certainly can't be HD. I do wonder, however, if they'll take the cheap way out and just use studio shots at the start of segments and/or on-the-fly openers for the segments. Given the ratings and the treatment they've given the show, they obviously don't care that much. I would think that a responsible network should give every show a proper appearance; what they're doing right now is really irresponsible.

Tonight during EEAD, for both the top and bottom of the hour, they used the opener for regular EE; at the top of the hour, it transitioned to a black screen before they did a hard cut to the camera, and at the bottom of the hour, they cut it off early before it could automatically transition.

Both openers also used an alternate cut of the EE theme.

The problem happened on the national feed as well. I have to wonder if it's related to the problem with the HD LF that I reported on the Tech Support board on TWCC; I would imagine that such a problem might originate in Network Control; I would think that the HD Satellite LF would originate the same way that the SD one does.
Network control has nothing to do with video.
I thought you said that's where the satellite LF usually comes from; or does that come from master?

Oh great, we've got a new story about a guy who got struck by lighting through his baseball cap. Maybe they can make a new FFN about it!

Also, apparently Mish Michaels is going to be on A&B later.
