We should all get proxies and pretend to be other people.

Although from talking to a few other folks, we're thinking (and hoping) that either Nick needs to rehearse more (since he's still shaky with the projector wall) or that the Weekend Outlook people need to rehearse. I guess we'll find out in the coming weeks. Of course, next week, we've got reruns of the special program Storm Session Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 2 PM ET, so maybe we'll see one hour of that followed by two hours of WC. Hopefully we'll get all three hours Monday and Wednesday, but again, you never know what to expect with TWC.

They just used a really cool shot looking down the runway in front of the projector wall from the right side of the studio. Pretty cool.

That would be nice. Local news stations do that all the time when they scrap old sets/move buildings. I really wish TWC would action off memorable pieces of the old set like the desk, the Hurricane Central podium, the Hurricane Central sign, maybe some old SD cameras, etc.

If they were willing to sell a backdrop, I'd find a way to rent a trucking service to take it home with me. Take out a loan!

No, apparently the couch is removable, and apparently they will only put it in the studio during the show if they use it. The Al Roker interview on A&B would've been a perfect chance to use it, so why didn't they? Is there some sort of flaw with the couch setup?

Kelly is hosting WV this morning with Kevin Robinson; I guess we'll see Dave or Carl doing WN in that case.

Kelly also appears to be wearing a knee brace; tell me she didn't join the crowd and fall down as well; at least it better not have happened in the HD studio!

They redid the entire set at that point and added in the Travel Desk to the studio. Before that, they had Dennis Smith doing Travel from Studio 1A.

I don't think the switch coincided with any other events as TWC; AFAIK, it just happened at some point. (either late 2001 or 2002 - can't remember which)
