They don't call the weekend PME "PM Edition Weekend" anymore? It used to be the other way around - I don't remember the OCM's ever referring the weekend Weather Center as "Weekend Weather Center" pre-2005ish.
They don't use the term "PM Edition Weekend" nearly as much as they use "Weekend Weather Center" nowadays. I think you're right; I don't remember hearing "Weekend Weather Center" used very much until around the 2005 relaunch when the show was finally given a permanent anchor team. (Kristin and Betty)

Guess who's finally on WO in HD this morning? Say it with me...

MAAARRRRKKKKK!!!   B)

Also, did anyone else's LDL not cue for this segment?

Yeah, that was a national issue. ;)

What really confuses me now is that PM Edition Weekend is set up just like it is during the week, facing the interview corner. TWC isn't being consistent. I think Weekend Weather Center should be at the mini desk just like it is during the week.
Exactly; it makes no sense when you think about. EE Weekend and EE West Coast Weekend are also set up just like their weekday counterparts. The only thing I can think is that WC is the only one that still has "Weekend" appended to the name, so I guess WWC is considered more separate from the weekday edition than the other shows.

Actually it is. I would've expected it to be at the little desk just like weekday Weather Center.

Yes, there are two green screens, and they both can rotate and face either into that side room there or toward the other rooms. From what I can tell, though, they can only be used when they're facing the side room. They're rotated when they want to keep them out of view.

Yep, and the pillars are yellow while the desk is using the nighttime colors, and the horizontal stripes along the walls are also in the EE colors.

Out of all of the shows, WO remains the least elaborate in production. Throughout the whole morning, not once did they do the OCM-OCM tosses at the projector wall like they do on the other shows. Instead, they used First Outlook regional openers to transition between the two sides of the wall.

As for the other two openers that used to be from the 03-05 WP package. Indeed, they didn't come up with anything new. Instead, they simply opted to use the FO Travel opener and the WN Weekly Planner opener. However, they did make up a pretty cool WO transitional graphic that matches the FO transitional graphic. They also ended the show with a long cut of the weekend morning music.

BTW, the opener now uses a crummy cut of the weekend morning package much like the Weekend Now opener music, but the WO version starts at a very awkward place and ends without further music playing after the signature portion of the music where the logo is revealed.

Wow, I think there's a lot of things we don't know about Nick Walker. He seems to be quite the character!

Yeah, the last hour of Day Planner is using the same studio setup as Weather Center; I wish they would at least use the DP colors for the show, but I guess they're no interested in doing that. I don't know why they don't just call that hour "Weather Center" since that's pretty much what it is.

First Outlook is the only show as of yet to use the big anchor desk rotated so that the map is in the background. All of the other shows with the map in the background are done from the mini-desk.

Ironically, A&B just used a camera shot from the front like they do on WC.

Yeah, for WC, they tend to use a camera angle from directly in front of it; although they will from time to time use the camera angle from the side like they usually do for A&B and WN.

Jennifer just got mentioned this morning on First Outlook by Jeff and Jen when they said, "Speaking of Dallas, our former colleague Jennifer Lopez is working out there now, and she's going to be busy keeping up with all of the action out there this morning."

Actually, as far as I know, Voss is with AccuWeather right now. (At the very least, she was with them at some point after TWC LM shut down; I'm not sure if she's still there.)
