Maybe Paul and Alex will do regular EE while Adam and Kristin do the overnight coverage; they've done a setup like that in the past...

1337
Wow, still no Storm Alert. This is starting to get annoying.

1338
It's actually picked up speed, and now it looks like landfall will be mid-morning tomorrow. I don't think anyone expected that.

1339
They accidentally used Storm Alert graphics from this package in the past, so I'd think it still exists.

1340
Still no Storm Alert with the start of Weekend Now. Is there ever going to be one? >_<

1341
Wow, still no Storm Alert even with the start of Weekend View. What's up with that?

(How am I supposed to get any sleep like this?) :(

Did Eboni seriously just say "contraband flow" instead of "contraflow"? If so, I have less respect for her broadcasting skills than I thought.

Mark and Eboni have started Weekend Outlook early now at 3 AM CT. I'm still hoping for Storm Alert at 7 AM ET, but I hope I'll be up for it...

Down to 135 MPH with a pressure of 158 mb. Surely this is rock bottom now that it's back over the gulf and becoming more defined again...

Yes, that's exactly what you're hearing. My guess is that they're doing the playback a little less professionally than usual because of the unique setup tonight.

BTW, my friend, have you noticed that they've been using different lower thirds for the OCMs for the day two days or so; these L3s are more squared off on the right side, presumably to completely cover up the Gustav ticker so that there isn't a little corner of it sticking out when the L3s are on the screen.

Even the bottom of the hour is recorded. I guess Dave left after the top of the hour segment?

The Weekly Planner just now was played off a recording from last hour. Apparently the show is only semi-live with non-Gustav segments being replayed from last hour.

You can still see that red podium reflecting off of the pillar to the left of the desk on the HD feed; how eery.

(BTW, I'm back home for the weekend, so I'm watching and recording the entirety of the coverage in HD; the only downfall is that I have to change discs every four hours, and I want to be awake at 7 AM ET in anticipation of Storm Alert, so my sleep tonight will have to be very strategic. >_<

He did? I missed that. Wow, that's a long night for Adam. Will he go until 4 AM ET, or will Dave perhaps step back in for the final hour of EEWC? I guess time will tell...
