Is it me, or is the light strip that lines the LCD where Viv and Nick are standing now white? I've never seen that before...

Storm Alert music still going on a 1-minute LF right now. I wonder if they meant to use the music the minute Storm Alert started last night but made a mistake that wasn't caught until the morning crew came in.

They're back on the pre-landfall commercial schedule now; I wonder if the Storm Alert LF music will also be gone; I hope not.

Hmm...this is still considered a Storm Alert edition of Weather Center; does PME start at 7 PM ET?

According to Kevin, we remain in Storm Alert with Viv and Nick at the top of the hour.

...and the track, though early, also does not bode well for the U.S. come late next weekend. This could be the 7 days from hell tropical wise.

Interesting, they have the lights all around the left side of the studio back to light blue/white. The lights that line the LCD screens at the big desk are also the same color (they're normally dark blue during Weather Center), and the green screen is turned facing the desk so that it's in the two-person shot they used going to break.

I wonder why they use blue lights on that wall when at the little desk and for the First Outlook desk configuration; I guess maybe the red lights don't look good up close?

It's stationed behind the pillar to the right of the projector wall, and it's where the experts prepare for their segments. On some occasions, they'll drag it out in front of the projector wall for Dr. Forbes, Dr. Lyons, or Nicole Mitchell when they're going to use its built-in telestrator or simply when they want to open certain segments with an OCM and an expert in front of the projector wall.

You can see the podium behind the pillar on the HD feed when they show the shot of the left side of the anchor desk with Kelly and Dr. Forbes.

It looks like everyone except the First Outlook shift was expected to put in four hours for this Storm Alert. (Cheryl did, however, put on four hours on Sunday though)

With Bill and Kelly, too. I'm surprised they haven't gone to Vivian and Nick yet...

It sounds like Storm Alert may be starting to wrap up; apparently Dr. Lyons is going off the air, and Bill and Kelly are thanking the field OCMs and reporters for all their hard work. I guess we'll see if Storm Alert ends at the top of the hour.

Even if it does, we may very well be back in Storm Alert by the end of the week with Hanna strengthening out there.
