If it's a programming block, doesn't it make this essentially a carbon copy of The 90's are All That?

Yep, Then i wouldn't understand all the hype with barely no answers from the official social media accounts.

We'll see since they've been posting sporadic updates in the past few days with some hints of what's coming.

On a different note, in reference to the earlier posts about The Splat, I STILL cannot figure out what it is. I've seen ten different reports, and ten different opinions as to whether its a channel or a programming block.  :dunno:

I'm in the same boat! Both E! and MTV say Channel and Variety and Entertainment Weekly say Programming Block, i hope The Splat posts an update soon to clarify.

I really hope it's a 24/7 Channel dedicated to the 90s.

Looks like a troll to me, from the replies I read he said if samba would annoy the poster he'd be all for it.

Everything Else TWC / Re: Weather Channel for Sale

What I found from the cnn link

The Weather Channel doesn't reach nearly as many viewers on television. While it's available in almost 100 million households in the United States, the channel's ratings are usually low. On Tuesday, for example, a typically quiet day, the channel only rose about the 200,000-viewer mark once.

*While Kenny called the TV end of the business “good” and “steady,” he knows not to expect any increase in carriage fees. So long as the mobile and B2B businesses keep growing, Kenny’s not sweating the time ahead. “I feel — actually — awesome about it,” he said.

And despite rumors that the channel might consider a complete rebrand to a non-weather format, Kenny said, “It’s nothing I’m working on now. It’s way too early for us to give up on [cable].” So Vice and Yahoo seeking their own cable networks will have to look elsewhere for now.

Even so, Kenny admitted that the network may have to explore other options further down the road. “I don’t think it’ll be a linear channel the way we know it today,” he said, noting that is also true of many other networks.*
