I'd say it's his fault for not setting the terms before it being played. He may be SOL.
He doesn't have to. It's understood. Clearly you know nothing about how this stuff works.

I've never used a tuner on an OS X Mac, sorry. :(

That's...Illegal.

Well, corporations get away with murder these days anyway, so I'm really not that surprised to hear this.

But I haven't watched TWC in years, so sharing my opinion with what's-his-face would be pointless. However, for those who do watch...I encourage you to email TWC your opinions. Make sure, of course, that your opinions are respectful. He probably won't change his mind if you call him a butthead. Unless this guy is like our president, your comments can make a difference.
Exactly. I'm sure they get tons of emails containing "The music sucks!", "Replace the IntelliStar with the XL!", and other immature crap of the like. Instead of saying how bad their decisions are, it would be more appropriate and professional to explain WHY jazz music should be kept.

That has nothing to do with FiOS. TWC does it.

You're failing to understand they can do whatever they want and that our say most likely won't make them change their minds.
I'm not around here much, but as far as I know, no one ever said they couldn't. However, we can still bitch about it all we want.

Me, I haven't watched TWC seriously in years, so NBC's decisions don't do much except push me further away from it. Hence why I've stopped coming here as often.

The black guy's voice is incredibly annoying in that one.

What a fuckup. Well, in business, the dumb people who make the dumb decisions usually come out on top.

Ratings + TWC. WTF? It's the weather, for christ's sake. Rock music does not work, you'd think they'd know that.

Either way, I don't think it will last long. People will get annoyed pretty fast.

Local Forecast / Re: WeatherStars you have seen

Hmm...

IntelliStar
Here, and a few others.

WeatherSTAR XL
Here, Washington D.C (June 2003), Youngstown, OH; Charleston, SC; many others.

WeatherSTAR 4000
Western PA somewhere, in June 2004. It was somewhere along I-80 just across the border from Ohio.

Local Forecast / Re: July 2009 Official Playlist

I haven't watched TWC much lately, but the WORST song on this playlist, by far, is Rockit by Herbie Hancock.

I almost threw up when I heard it. I'm all for 80's Synthpop, but this one crosses the line. There's another bad song on here, mostly guitar, with a really generic melody, that's pretty bad too.

Here come the Rumors <_<

Drugs are a very realistic possibility.

I do feel bad for Farrah Fawcett, though. She died earlier today, but now her story is going to be put on the back-burner so to speak. :(

ET is only focusing on Farrah Fawcett, I don't think they have even mentioned Michael Jackson's death.
Pre-recorded i imagine? IMO she deserves more coverage than Jackson
I wouldn't say that, but she certainly deserves an honorable mention. Wikipedia's "In The News" doesn't even have her listed. I just hope she gets as much attention as Michael Jackson.
