Local Forecast / Re: General LF Discussion

I don't see the point of the L-Bar. Just to get a minute and a half of more coverage? Really??? TWC must be really desperate. It seems that this would be a permanent thing. Looks like we may need to take some action  :club:

Taking action is not going to help. ;) Most likely the use of the L-Bar is due to flooding coverage that will, obviously once again, boost their ratings. However, is there also a possibility that TWC thinks (or knows) viewers will tune-in if they extend their live coverage by scaling down on the LOT8s? I know to us its horrific, but we did say we would prefer more weather coverage, especially if it ads up over the hour.
But do you think extending the coverage by a minute and 30 seconds really helps? :dunno: No offense but I don't think they need to keep doing extensive coverage on the flooding. The rain (for the most part) has stopped and most of the rivers have receded below flood stage. Of course the destruction caused is terrible, but just to get a minute and 30 seconds more or coverage? I know that it adds up to the amount of coverage but I don't think it's all too necessary just for the coverage of flooding. Btw, I didn't really mean that we needed to take action, just joking  :rofl2:

I believe it's been gone for almost a month now. I think they would have fixed it already. But I'm still hoping they'll bring it back.

GTAIVman, you can either shrink your picture down before posting it directly, make it an attachment to your post rather than placing it as an image within your post, or use [img width=xxx height=xxx] in the HTML coding to shrink the picture down in the post itself.
Thanks for the help. :)

Hurricane Central / Re: Tropical Storm Bret

There isn't any need to worry about this storm but you know TWC goes insane when a tropical system develops. Only one of the computer models have it going inland towards South Carolina. They are forecasting winds topping 60mph which is equivalent to a strong nor'easter.

My scariest weather experience was when a severe thunderstorm brought winds as high a 90mph. It was on Sunday, July 25, 2010 after what was a hot day until the thunderstorm brought temperatures down by 20° degress. Here's a link to what a recorded and uploaded to my other youtube account.

Hello, Today I recorded a video of an Intellistar II malfunctioning. It was glitching to the satellite LF and back and sometimes to a blank green screen. Here is the link to the video.

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: Can't get SD Feed from TWC
« on: June 19, 2011, 02:23:45 PM »
It's a Dish issue..
I don't have Dish so it can't be Dish. If both Dish and Cablevision have that problem, it could be a TWC problem.

TWC and your Cable Company / Can't get SD Feed from TWC
« on: June 18, 2011, 10:26:30 AM »
I'm pretty sure this is a problem caused by Cablevision. This actually happened a few months ago when Cablevision changed Channel 62 to HD which was originally was SD. I don't see the point of that because there is already another HD TWC channel which is Channel 762. I use a HD cable box, and before this happened, I was still able to get a SD Feed from TWC. Is it possible to fix this and how? Thanks.

I still have no weather bulletin screen on my Intellistar 2. A few weeks ago, I checked weather.com for any weather warnings. There was a flood watch. However, I had no notification on my IS2 because I have no weather bulletin screen. Please fix.
