The month of August has featured many good TWC songs. Often time it is difficult to come up with a favorite, since almost every song is  just as good and catchy. here are my choices for this week

Old School (1983-1999)

Caravan by David Arkenstone on the CD "Island", Track 6, from the 8/92 playlist showcase

New School (2000- present)

Celebrating Sipho by Gerald Veasley on the CD "At The Jazz Base!", Track 10 from the 8/05 playlist. my favorite song from this playlist

Below are clips from both songs

Both CD's are available at Amazon.com, and other retail outlet's

IMO, my least favorite year for TWC music overall is 2002...too many vocal songs...and the Primetime vocal music playlist of May 2007...

My Womynfriend hates it when I watch it. Too bad I bitch-slap her when she says that.

Yea, most Women especially the young ones (14-20something) arent into T.W.C. the  way most of us are...let alone any kind of instrumental music. My woman is the same way, but she tolerates it ....she has to, we live together.

When I started watching TWC back in the early 90s my parents thought I was abnormal and was weird.....I was living in Puerto Rico at the time, go figure.....but anyways as I got older they eventually tolerated it, they had to.. I was over 18, and I am not going to change for anybody, EVEN family....

If I had a kid, I wouldnt give him a hard time if he became a TWC fan, hell i'd encourage him(or her) we need more people that are into the combo of Geography/Weather and Jazz/New Age instrumental music

Better yet, found the instrumental versions and downloaded them. you can go to either www.freeplaymusic.com or www.gmpmusic.com and you can find all but 3 of Steve Glotzer's songs ever played on TWC ( all the instrumental versions ) I think Steve Glotzers CD's on gmpmusic are a/v CD's 302, 303, 323  and 341, just released today. 2 tracks, Island Nights and Springtime from 03' are available on www.booseytracks.com
Oh I forgot to mention... 9 track from February and March 2004 are available on www.studiocutz.com look for CD "Light and Bright 04" all themes except the last one were used. I dont think you can listen to the whole song though, and the CD is expensive.. $100  i paid 70 for mine (2 yr ago) still

I ve been different like that since i was 13....almost everytime i listen to my music i think of the LF frame sequence. Cant picture doing it w/ vocal music, very tacky IMO...
