I found a song used i think in September 2005 that was incorrectly credited to rob weiss. Check out "Go With It" from the CD "From My Window" by Richard smith. I think that aired on the overnight in Sept 2005. I know I heard this before

General Discussion / After 10 years.... Finally I might be in consideration for a Meteorology job!

For those of you who know. I had graduated with a degree in Atmospheric Science from Ohio State in 1999. i went thru a lot of personal things, setbacks and delays, the likes of which I wont expound upon here.

Any ways I went to USAJobs.com and found a few "intern" (startup) vacancies for a Metorologist. Three positions, one in Jackson KY, one in Springfield MO and another in Duluth MN. I am excited becasue for the first time in nearly 10 years, I will be doing something in my field and actually feel good about myself 

I sumbitted all necessary paperwork, and I verified that it was submitted, all I am doing right now is waiting for a response. Wish me luck, I am going to need it. In as little as 6 weeks I might be living outside Ohio! woohoo! I am looking forward to it!

Local Forecast / Great new website with many Samuel Lincoln CC Gilmore tunes

I just found this site, called Gratis Music Library www.gratismusiclibrary.comwhere you can listen to/download at least 35 Samuel Lincoln /CC Gilmore tunes that are retitled of course but where used onTWC between 2004 and 2008. You will have to register (its free) to listen to the MP3 files, but after registering, you will be able to listen/download the songs (MP3 format, 128 kbps). The songs can be found on four CD listings they have GRA vol 84, 88, 94, and 98. Figured id pass this on!

General Discussion / Considering selling off my TWC music collection

This is not official, nor it is set in stone....but I am going through some financial hard-times, and I am considering this rather-drastic decision....selling off my CD music collection, Original CD only, not burned ones.  I havent decided what CD's I am going to start selling off... but as most of you know I am a very large selection of music, including many many rare CDs. Figured I'd post this as an F.Y.I. Hopefully I have this in the right category

after dusting off the box where my old TWC cassette tapes were lying ... I listened to a tape from mid-1996 and i found an EXTENDED version of Matt's "After The Rain"/"Getting Around, the song NOT on Trammell's 3 -CD set. I guess I captured a segment midway thru the regular LF portion BUT the LF screwed up and the song kept playing NINETY seconds beyond the known portion that we all know from TWCC... Gentlemen... I think i may come close to having that whole song... its a matter of recreating it accurately, according to the melodic patterns of Trammell's other tunes, to try to find the best fit.. but honest i think I may have come close to having the whole song... just need to convert from cassette to MP3.. I think I can do that with audacity right? what would I need to do.....Let me know.. I would like for you all to hear this segment I recorded

Local Forecast / I found Michael Ripoll's tune

It is retitled "Cat Dog" on his site www.michaelripoll.com . It is instrumental, but it ends with Puerto Rican/Cuban/Spanish style cheering/chanting and vocals, which kills it and makes it sound VERY tacky IMO.  If you listen to the sample You will hear the  vocal part. what I did was buy the single from the site and edit the song at about 4:00, when the vocals start. The Time-In of "Miss Libby/CatDog" is at :15 and I tested it and it checked out. Also compared it against a youtube video that Derek gave me. So by process of elimination, Michael didnt write the "alien song". I think that song, which I suspect is Kim Hansen's "Always There"
