I knew this would happen!!!!
Three Duck Centro elementary schools are closed because they found several cases of the flu.
My little sister doesn't attend one of those three, but I am very aware of if a case would hit her school very soon.

THis is getting ridiculous.

One person died. A mexican kid. Big f-ing deal. It's not a pandemic. IT'S THE FLU! I don't care if it's a new strain of flu, the symptons are practically identical.

This is the drug companies doing what they do best. For those who can't see that, it's very unfortunate. It's time to get real, here.

IMO, I think it's sad. It is a big deal.

Well, A&B debuted a new segment today. It's called NOW YOU KNOW. They show a city (like today they showed Fairbanks, AK) and they show the WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, WHY and HOW. I never knew that today, Fairbanks was warmer that us in the lower 48! O_o

It's so weird that there are more cases in northern-southern California than here where I live. They just confirmed two probable cases of the flu on Orange County. In fact, my cousin had to be sent home today because he was showing some flu like symptoms. He can't be one of those two probable cases because he never been to Mexico...ever.

Yes, that is also me. I was originally socool375 on everything. That all changed when that account of mine was supended on youtube back in mid-February. I opened my socool775 accounton TWCT in case I ever decided to switch over to that (my new username).

yup. just go to your profile > modify profile > account settings > name

One more thing...after you change your username, you can't change it again until three months has passed. (Sorry I sound like the admin, but I do agree by this rule).

It's okay, Aaron, I know it's good to stand up for yourself and spill your feelings against...ugh...that person. I do decide to stay quiet. Nonetheless, if this goes too far, then I'm out.

My college has released a statement about the swine flu, and that the Swine Flu alert has now been raised up to 5.

April 30: Swine Influenza Update
The Swine Flu Alert was raised to Phase 5 yesterday, a signal that a pandemic may be imminent and now is the time to planned mitigation measures.

IVC continues to follow the official Imperial County direction and our campus remains open. As of 08:00 April 30th, all county schools are open and the number of confirmed cases in Imperial County remains at 5 according to a local Public Health representative. The United States now has 109 confirmed cases and only one death.

Today at 1:00 ET, Sebelius (Sec. of HHS) and Napolitano (Homeland Security) will provide information on a live webcast on http://www.hhs.gov/

Best Practices:

Know the facts
Frequent hand washing
Cover all coughs with tissue or your sleeve, not a bare hand
Dismiss students who have flu-like symptoms – cough, fever, general body ache, etc.
If Faculty or Staff have flu-like symptoms – stay home

So far here in Imperial County, there are 5 cases but neither of them are major cases. 0 in Duck Centro so far, so schools here are remained open. (Thanks God. *phew*)
BTW, there is one confirmed case at my hometown (San Bernardino, CA) and several schools are closed until May 7.
