Did you recently just get a Wii U? I don't think the Splatoon bundle has been out that long. Speaking of Splatoon, is it good? I've been on the fence about getting this game since it came out. Splatoon may be the first and only Wii U game where I haven't heard any negative reviews (so far). It's great to see a new first party IP from Nintendo doing so well, hopefully they're experiment with more new IPs. Also half of your Wii U games I've been on the fence about. (Super Mario Maker, Yoshi's Wolly World, DKC: Tropical Freeze, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker) The only one I think I can guarantee I'll get is Super Mario Maker.
I purchased the Wii U Splatoon bundle at Best Buy on the day it was released. Splatoon is a great and fun game but you need good internet access to enjoy the game as it is mostly an online game. Super Mario Maker is also a fun game as you can spend multiple hours creating levels and playing other people's levels.

Everything Else TWC / Re: Weather Channel for Sale
« on: October 28, 2015, 10:10:12 AM »
It is now confirmed that IBM will buy the website and digital apps, not the TV Channel. David Kenny will leave TWC to be with IBM so the TV channel will get a new CEO

I don't know if it's a glitch but I just heard the Storm alert music on the LOT8s.

EDIT: Now I understand why. TWC will be on air until 11PM ET to cover Hurricane Patricia. As of now, the LDL still remains blue but Storm Alert music is on LOT8s (it should of been used during the SC storms).

My TV Guide shows that TWC Weekend live programming may be extended to 2PM ET staring Saturday 10/31. I hope this is true.

Hmm, I didn't see Kim on today, however I am surprised to see Alexandra Steele is on doing the weather forecast tonight...

Alexandra Steele must be a freelancer too as she is on TWC tonight. I do hope Kim will freelance at TWC like Alexandra.

It looks like TWC did a "automated" tropical update at 2AM ET.

Local Forecast / Re: General LF Discussion
« on: September 24, 2015, 01:45:26 AM »
I also noticed there were no autumn backgrounds for the satellite LF's.  The exception was at 7:08AM ET and 8:08AM ET, during AMHQ; Those two LF's had the autumn scenes.

This screams apathy on the part of TWC.  These LF backgrounds are obviously in their library and would have cost them ZERO to implement.  For all the noise regarding cut backs of celebrity talent (Al Roker) to save money, simply using the change of seasons to add to the flavor of the programming seems to be a no brainer.

But - - having been a loyal viewer since the 1980's, I see the trend.  TWC will spend a heap of cash to bring in celebrities but will ignore the simple and free (no licensing required) things to make their channel more of a pleasure to watch.

For those with the IS2, all we get is a "Weather Underground" background.

The Weather Channel to Premiere New Series NATURAL BORN MONSTERS, 9/21

Quote
From land prowling fish to giant predatory reptiles and more... adventurer and EXPLORER Sean Duggan treks to the most remote stretches of the globe in search of mysterious creatures that have adapted to extreme weather and environments in new series, "Natural Born Monsters." In each episode, Duggan makes it his mission to unearth these fascinating creatures and investigate how weather came to shape both the wild claims around their existence and the wild beasts themselves.

I thought we stopped green-lighting these shows
