Here's an Excel Copy of the list for those who want it.

Does anybody have a copy of the October 2009 playlist?

I've seen thousands of them, and they definitely are HUGE. The thumb actually had a massive wind turbine project a few years ago, and have enough wind turbines to power over 15,000 homes. I believe the entire village of Pigeon and some of Bad Axe are powered by them.

In other news, Saturday was 6 years after our last double digit snowfall... and to the northeast the past couple winters, 10 inches in one storm is peanuts.

General Discussion / Re: What Type of Cell Phone Do You Have?
« on: January 23, 2011, 02:30:49 PM »
I have an En V Touch now. IT SUCKS! Around November this year I think I'm going to get a droid or i Phone (if Verizon ever gets it).
My mom and sister each had an EnV Touch too (my sister still does) and they hated it. The touch screen was awful, and they had the same issues with their phones powering off randomly as I did with my EnV3.

The iPhone is coming out with Verizon on February 10th, but the Droid is great too. Only problem is, the battery life is awful.

I have to say I'm a little addicted to that song, lol. "Sierra" or "Axiom" is a great song.

Also, what's this one?

Not really a music purchase, but I bought the Disney movie "The Ultimate Christmas Present" on iTunes. I hate Disney, but I always loved that movie.

Busy busy day
Because I have such a large area to shovel, I spent the better part of a total of 2 hours shoveling what wasn't even an inch yesterday. I hear ya, lol :P

But wow, check this out. Pellston MI, situated in Emmet County between Petoskey and the Mackinac Bridge, is always the coldest spot in the state. But this is crazy. It has been a while since temperatures like this have shown up anywhere in Michigan. What's funny is, Traverse City, about 50 miles away, is at 0.

Man, I wish I lived up there.  :hmm:

I have to say that a chiller mat works great. I bought a Belkin chiller mat with a ledge at the bottom (to keep the laptop from sliding) and adjustable height for $40 at Staples back in September. Still works great. The other thing I did... I just bought a new laptop that could better handle what I needed out of it. I understand that's usually not an option though.

Local Forecast / Re: General LF Discussion

I think 7 days is just right for now as forecasts beyond that mark would become as good as throwing darts. :P
I think even beyond 2 days is pushing it :P

Yeah, I find forecasts even overnight can change rapidly. I agree, I think the 7 day should be the only extended forecast product, and that is just right when it comes to accuracy.  Anything beyond that I really don't bother to trust.

So here's the question of the day... I haven't heard the narration phrase "Snowfall rates around one inch" for the wording phrase "Snowfall around one inch" on any Intellistar in years. The exception would be a video that user ajatwister recently uploaded.
Middle Tennessee Snowstorm (2)- Local on the 8s

So why is it that some Intellistars seem to have the phrase, but most don't?

And then I got to thinking about another phrase. My aunt and uncle live in San Clemente, CA (my mom just went to visit them two weeks ago)... and the phrase "Stronger winds in and below canyons and passes" appears on their text forecast a lot.
I recorded an LF with a camera I had when I went there in November 2007... but I lost it when my desktop was reformatted in February 2008. So does anyone know if the Intellistar has that phrase?

As hard as it is to say, Comcast. Time Warner couldn't keep (or honor) a contract with an entertainment company if their business depended on it

Michigan or Ohio?

Looking at the configurations, they're both the same, really. But if I had to choose, I would go with 23527 since it is with Charter

Charter or Comcast?

Yeah, STAR ID

24629. I don't think I've seen 26777.

Blue or Gold?

I would say eagles, but when you throw in an artist who happens to have the name of two family members... :P

Derek and the Dominoes

22840 or 25349?
