Your Local Weather / Southside VA/Northern NC Weather
« on: December 13, 2016, 11:15:43 AM »
It appears my region is in for quite a week coming up.  Today it is cloudy and misty, but highs are in the mid 50s.  (Isn't that cozy? LOL)  Tomorrow we will break 50 before more rain arrives.  Wednesday Night the artic front blows through...leaving us with high temperatures only around freezing for both Thursday and Friday.  We may see some snow Friday evening, with that changing over to sleet, then plain rain by Saturday morning.  Sunday we will be in the 60s.  And then next week could get wintry.

I just love winter.  LOL.

It did seem like Jennifer started reappearing all of a sudden. Pretty much since Thanksgiving, she has been seen on Weather Center Live almost four days a week.  Two weeks ago, she was on every single day Monday-Friday.

Over the past three weeks I've been seeing why TWC hired her...

She has been doing a ton of coverage during the 2nd or 3rd Weather Center Live.  And let's just say when you don't think women's skirts/dresses can't get shorter...they can.   Liana also has a tendency to wear dresses that have a slit off to either side in the front.  I've seen her blue underwear...her beige underwear and her black underwear in the past three weeks.  I'm guessing her male counterparts also enjoy having her around...

I kept an eye on The Weather Channel throughout the day Saturday (October 8th)   Again, the group of reporters out in the field anchored this coverage.  Mike Bettes (South Carolina), Chris Warren (South Carolina), Mark Elliott (Georgia), Jen Carfagno (Florida), Paul Goodloe (Florida), Mike Seidel (North Carolina), Jim Cantore (North Carolina), and Maria LaRosa (South Carolina) all took turns leading TWC coverage.  Meanwhile, once again Greg Postel, Carl Parker, Bryan Norcross, and Michael Lowry lastly took turns tracking the hurricane in the lab.  Jen Delgado made just one appearance in the main studio at around 7:30pm eastern (well...that I saw).  Later on, Alex Wallace and then Ray Stagich anchored coverage from the lab well past dark.

With Hermine and Matthew it appears TWC is aiming to do their coverage by the reporters on site...which I'm fine with.  Plus, that gives us less time to sit through Kelly Cass, Jen Delgado, and Alex Wallace.  Unless you have something more than a Hurricane taking place, field reporters plus experts in the lab are more than adequate to cover the story.

Jim has always had that certain way about him.  LOL.

I'm 24 and have paid attention to TWC since about 1999.

Jim has always been very manly and smoking...but I think as he gets older and his hair goes away, his sexiness morphs as well.  (Not saying he loses his appeal.)  (Just saying it changes.)

Jim really got beat up last night on the North Carolina coast when the wind really kicked in from the backside of Matthew.

I've never really cared for Mike Bettes...no real reason in particular.  He's just uninteresting.

And sure...Sam still has a rocking body for his age...I didn't even think about him before in my posts.

Some guys can actually get more attractive with age.  Jim Cantore is trying to be like that.  LOL.

That's good to know :)

Yeah Michael Lowry really has been on my radar lately, especially with the Matthew coverage. It's pretty clear he works out. It's kinda obvious he's got a great butt when they show his pants from a distance.

We kinda low-key need a Youtube account where the male OCM's get some love, lol. I see way too much [insert female OCM name] also has legs types of videos. Which I only watch to get some weather coverage, considering I don't have cable right now.

True. True. And True.

His butt is nice, I wish we would get to see that more often.  LOL.  Whenever he is at his spot behind the counter in the lab, I could just watch his arms all day.

Its a shame that if The Weather Channel ever wanted to do a "Men of TWC" calendar, only like 3 guys would be perfect in it.

Although I could see myself talking to Rich Johnson's picture every day.  LOL.

And now I guess I know why the women of TWC keep getting shorter and shorter skirts...so the men watching will get newer and better leg footage to upload.  *blinks.*

Alexandra Steele was on yesterday (Thursday, October 6th) from around 11am to 2pm.  She was in the studio and they went to her just 3 times in around 3 to 4 hours.  Dr. Greg Forbes was not in yet and Alexandra was left to updating us on the tornado warnings in the Midwest.  She went over tornado warnings in Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

Carl Parker was in the lab throughout this time, focusing on Matthew.  And Reynolds Wolff and Alex Wilson led the coverage on the ground.

I guess I'm the only gay guy here. Oh well. The male OCM's have to get some love too.

Jim Cantore has always been the hottest to me, followed by Mike Bettes. Though they aren't looking as good these past couple years.
Mike Lowry is actually very sexy too. Plus it helps that he actually can provide information with actual substance in it.

Those three are my trinity for now.

Nope...there is at least two of us gays here.  LOL.

Sadly, I barely see any guys at TWC as being hot anymore.

Michael Lowry is definitely the babe of the network.  LOL.  And Keith Carson was gorgeous too.  Too bad he's gone back to New England.

Jim Cantore used to be, and is still sometimes hot.

And that's pretty much it.  All the other guys (Mike Bettes, Alex Wallace, Ray Stagich, Nick Walker, Mike Seidel, Paul Goodloe, Chris Warren, Mark Elliott, Rich Johnson, Mark Thibodeau, and Reynolds Wolf are either too pretty to be hot, or too old, or just whatever.

She is on today's 11am-3pm Weather Center Live with Nick Walker.  So far, she seems to be doing a decent job.

On her twitter page, Jacqui mentions this as a "#freelancegig" so...TWC snagged another freelancer?

« on: August 04, 2016, 08:07:55 AM »
I'm just now commenting to this really awful news. (I saw this news online Sunday morning, but never thought of posting here until now.)

Dave...in my opinion, the best person we saw on set in the last couple years.  After his return, Dave kept treating us like open-minded weather students (and life students) and engaged us viewers in a professional, thoughtful, an often witty manner.  Earlier in the year when they moved Dave to a solo block (although he would still appear often on Weather Underground later in the evening.)  I thought the network screwed him and just put the old man alone.  However, Dave was just as enlightening, engaging and easy to listen to solo as he was paired up with anybody.  Running a couple hours solo, without any live help at the lab (they always used early morning taped lab segments) and without usually any live reporters, Dave was amazing was keeping the tone light, and letting us inside his world of fascination of the weather.  (I remember one afternoon back in May on his WCL, he spent a good couple minutes showing us the satellite imagery where a severe weather system was setting up in the Midwest.  The clouds coming from the east north of the warm front, the clouds coming from the south-south of the warm front, and the clouds moving from the west behind the cold front...almost every day Dave would have something small...yet neat...to point out to us viewers.

One of the very few things The Weather Channel has done right in the last 8 years was brining this lovable man back to our screens.  It's just a real shame we did not get to enjoy him being on longer.

Rest easy, my friend, you'll be missed.

OCMs & Personalities / Re: New OCM - Keith Carson
« on: August 04, 2016, 07:55:18 AM »
At least yesterday Keith got to do the 3-6pm Weather Center Live as his last show.  He was a good meteorologist.  I felt like however when they put him solo back in March, he lost some of that comedy.  (I think because his comedy works best when there is another OCM to bounce off of.)  But his solo Weather Center Live was still fine.

Hate to see him go.  Especially when there are several current OCMs who are unwatchable.

Good luck to him in his future efforts!  :worship:

Local Forecast / Re: Smooth Jazz Return!
« on: April 27, 2016, 01:30:08 PM »
It appears smooth jazz is back on the LOT8s again today.  I don't know when they changed over.  Early this morning during AMHQ they were still playing the severe weather jingle and the AMHQ jingle.  But over the last couple hours smooth jazz has been playing.

11-1pm:  Nick Walker was in for Alex Wallace
1-3pm:  RICH JOHNSON in for our Dave Schwartz

Yay!!! :D!!!  I'm going to make sure to enjoy the next hour and 15 minutes while Rich is on...I'm sooo happy to see him again!!!  His voice is the same and brings back sooo many memories.  LOL.
