Programming and Graphics / AMHQ Now Extended Until 10e/9c
« on: June 21, 2020, 11:06:52 PM »
AMHQ is now extended another hour once again until 10am Eastern for the first time since 2015. I find it an interesting move, but I have no idea what that means for AMHQ Early. To me it sounds like them cutting back on Live programming more, but that could just be me.

TWC Fan Art / Red Mode Remake
« on: June 20, 2017, 08:15:17 AM »
I decided to try to recreate the Red Mode Graphics as what it would be today, but I had a few font limitations but otherwise I don't think its great or bad.

Programming and Graphics / Anyone want more live programming?
« on: November 04, 2016, 05:59:27 PM »
I was looking through videos on YouTube and it occurred to me when I saw the video in 2009 when they had live programming through 10:00PM EST. It really stood out to me what the live schedule is compared to now.
They only go through 8:00PM EST. This week they haven't even had cut ins every :30 which I also think is another idea I disagree with. I think it tends to get annoying seeing the updates every :30 minutes because they seem as if they are rushing and they only spend like 5 seconds on each graphic. But that's not where there's a large issue.
The Weekends seem to have more long form programming than live programming. Back in 2014 or early 2015 TWC cut the weekend hours from ending at 2:00 EST to 12:00 EST and Weather Geeks is not live programming if there is any busy weather. But... Its not fun when you are in a certain time zone that is later than others. Refer to the Time Zone Lable Below:
Longform Start time ----

Eastern: 12:00 PM
Central: 11:00 AM
Mountain 10:00 AM
Pacific: 9:00 AM
Hawaiian Time: 6:00 AM

Yeah, not fun for some people especially if they are not waking up early. I saw TWC Programming with a few polls on shows for weekends they could do such as, Extended WCL, WUTV AM, West/East Coast Morning Show and 1 other I cannot remember. That was a few months ago and have not seen any plans about it. But I'd like to see more Live Programming. Anyone agree with me? Or am I just alone?

Programming and Graphics / Local Cable Company Cut-Ins
« on: September 19, 2016, 04:57:05 PM »
I have Cox Cable and have not been seeing any cut-ins with Dr.Forbes even though I am in the Severe Risk area. Both channels have the IS2 XD and both have local forecast and I don't see the cut ins. I have tried the SD channel and no cut-ins are to been seen, I don't know if its the XD itself. I have seen videos on the IS2 Jr's and they get the break ins just fine but I do not see anything.

WeatherSTAR Tech Support / LDL Glitch
« on: June 06, 2016, 09:53:15 AM »
The past few days I have been noticing there has been a glitch on the LDL with The Weather Channel Logo. It becomes missing for a commercial and then it fixes itself on the next commercial.

General Weather Chat / Would you rather have a LDL or not?
« on: March 15, 2016, 07:51:23 PM »
On the live stream for The Weather Channel online. (weather.com/live) There is no ldl and there is no commercials it just has the radar during commercials. Would you rather have them implement a local weather ldl and forecast? Or, would you want them to just put the national feed in, or would you like to have them keep it the way it is?
On a lot of the cable apps TWC is no longer available.

Pictures:

#1 Here is a picture of no LDL.
#2 National LDL
#3 Local Feed (Original as on TV)
