General Discussion / DirecTV: Getting TWC|HD (not subscribed, though)

I guess DirecTV decided to be generous and give free TWC|HD or it's just a screw up with my receiver - as we aren't subscribed to any HD service. I'm enjoying the HD clarity while it lasts. Anyone else with DirecTV experiencing the same?

What does everyone think about Valentine's Day (or as I like to call it, Single's Awareness Day)?


Mine, quite frankly, is already going wonderfully. Somebody had to run their mouth about who I was going to ask and I got pity out of it. Someone who spoke to her after the fact said that she'd say yes as a friend because she felt sorry for me. Kick in the head to me.

Weatherscan Discussion / What Do You Think the Fate of Weatherscan is?

After all of the recent changes at TWC since 2008/NBC takeover, what do you think the fate of Weatherscan is? Would TWC continue to work on it and develop it? Would there be a Weatherscan HD? Would it be discontinued?


Also, is there any word on Weatherscan or something similar coming to DirecTV? That'd be nice.

WeatherSTAR Tech Support / STAR 31320 Regional Conditions Error

While in Dothan, STAR 31320 experienced problems the entire time I was there (about an hour) displaying the current regional conditions as some areas were improperly placed and were overlapped twice or even three times. Places found not supposed to be there are:
Ashford
Defuniak Springs

WeatherSTAR Tech Support / 003171: 8-Location CC Problems

Okay, I've been seeing this for months now. On the eight-location/two-page CC's, several locations never are reporting properly. These locations are

• Fort Rucker, AL
• Marianna, FL
• Opp, AL

Often when these stations are out, it will either state that there is "No Report Available" or just be blank. I understand these are reporting station issues, but what is the point of having those stations on there if they never are reporting? This may seem like a request (and it isn't), but I think new reporting stations should be programmed in. Some locations, like Fort Rucker, have several reporting stations. Fort Rucker has KHEY (Hanchey AAF, down), KOZR (Ozark), and KLOR. I know Cairns AAF has a station, but I don't remember the ASOS for it.

WeatherSTAR Tech Support / XL 003171 is not working

003171 in Ozark, AL is not working and has not been for a while. Was working this morning. I know that it was acting a bit, sluggish, this morning.

Addition: might just be the cable company, but our audio and video is continuously going out only on TWC.

The many new feature options within the new RedSn0w download jailbreak tool includes the likes of DFU mode that allows automatic determination of which device and FW you have.

Other features include: “Pwned DFU” puts your device in a pwned DFU state for some of the iTunes stuff, “SHSH blobs”, “Select IPSW” is for picking non-public IPSWs, or overriding auto-detection, “Fetch” – fetch current PARTIAL blobs on device. Should complete in under 10 or 15 seconds. Puts the set of PARTIAL of blobs on your computer as a plist. Checks if Cydia already has a full set for this device and build. If not, it submits this PARTIAL set and returns Cydia’s acknowledgement or rejection and so much more.

Hey everyone, I thought I'd come in to say that I now have my new server up and ready but I have a base image online for the index.html until I can get the new one ready. I have decided to allow up to 100 offices to be opened. If you send me a message or reply to this with the following information, I will have it ready and finished within three days of confirmation.

Information needed to be included:
Local area or regional area (etc., AL/FL/GA TriState)
Location of site (subdomain of skywarnal.com, six characters or less)
Your email (and the email of anyone else part of that office)

True! Remember the XL in Ozark of mine that never displayed an ID? Turns out it is working again, it's ID is 003171 but still displaying as Ch25.

Have you had a STAR not work properly or stop working then came back to life? Tell its story here =)
