Sorry for the double-posting, but I have to ask, was this video https://twcclassics.com/watch.php?file=hangin-out edited, or was there a glitch? I can't imagine why it said "your extended forecast." instead of "Expect a chance of rain Tuesday through Thursday, with temperatures in the 60s, on Tuesday.", with and without 2 seconds added.

I’m not exactly sure when the narration for the extended forecast began on the XL. But, you would occasionally hear the generic “your extended forecast” even after it appeared. The extended forecast was only narrated when there was sufficient time, based on flavor type and the actual forecast of the next three days and the length of the narration required.

Given luesjo12's assessments about the map product still using the old Akko font rather than the current Roboto font and also the maps being removed this morning, I guess TWC didn't intend on using said product and it was likely just glitching. Or, TWC could have been testing out the maps and they plan on updating it with Roboto in the future, perhaps even roll it out to the IS2 Jrs as well. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens next.  :dunno:

I’m sticking with it was an error. With LOT8s only running 2 times per hour max for one minute, there’s absolutely no reason TWC would be interested in adding a new product to the lineup.

This has to make you wonder what other products the newer Intellistars have built in that have never been used...

Wow! Nice to see the return of the regional forecast! Notice it’s using the previous font set, instead if the refreshed font introduced last year. That makes me think this is a bug or was unintentional. I do like the big, bold fonts. The radar products should use bold fonts like that for the city names.

Programming and Graphics / Stephen Arnold 03-05 themes
« on: October 08, 2019, 01:32:47 PM »
Does anyone still have the full package of show themes from the 03-05 Live By It era by Stephen Arnold? I used to have all the CDs and can’t seem to locate them. Thank you!

Reminds me of the days where the LDL took up 30% of the screen

Weatherscan has disappeared from Xfinity in the Pittsburgh metro area.

So you can customize that software to display graphics however you want? That's pretty sweet. I've always wanted something like that. Too bad it's only for Windows.

These look great. What software are you using for the weather data?

I agree with Matt. I check here on a somewhat regular basis but I rarely post anymore. My interest in TWC and LOT8s has faded over the years. I'm an adult now, I don't really have time watching TWC all the time let alone posting online about it. I only turn on TWC when I have a few minutes to spare or during severe weather. Between TWC not being too interesting to me anymore, LOT8s being the same everywhere you go now, and adult stuff to take care off, TWC has taken a back seat in my life. That being said I will continue to check in here on a regular basis and post when I see fit.

I would hazard a guess that the radar feed on the sat/rad on Weatherscan wasn't even on purpose. TWC probably discontinued or replaced the old radar feed with a newer version and it just so happens that's the feed Weatherscan uses. If it was an intentional update they would have updated the precip legend. Weatherscan doesn't really get updates anymore which is another reason I think it wasn't an official update.

Hi Uncle Mike. I'm not that worried about it. Thanks.

Hey tested something similar in Pittsburgh several years back with Your Weather Today with Jeff Morrow hosting.

It seems Weatherscan was rebooted today and the logo was removed as were the narrations. The white Xfinity logo remains
