Seems like TWC should look into cloud-based options to deliver local on the 8s instead of physical servers at the cable headends.  It would be much more future-proof and could even allow them to provide locals to internet based cable providers.
Or maybe even have a local forecast on satellite television.

Why is there no IntelliStar 3 in development? With the end of support for Windows 7 Embedded happening, they have to make an IntelliStar 3 with a later version of Windows Embedded. Maybe even a new design. That would be cool. Anyway, I think they should make an IntelliStar 3.

Thanks to twcclassics, I borrowed his images as reference, and now it can go quicker, but I still need the severe weather bulletins and special weather statement images.

Hi, I'm making a WeatherStar Jr. emulator in PowerPoint. I used the image on TWC Classics as reference for the current conditions screen. The example image is for Branson, MO (where I'm going this October) yesterday morning. If anyone can send me more high quality screenshots as reference, then I can continue working on it.

Hey guys, Blackcomb here. I found out that I wasn't recognized on this website yet, so here I am!
I like The Weather Channel's Local on the 8s segment, so I came here to talk about it! I plan on making emulators in PowerPoint. Stay tuned for more updates (including emulators I'm working on)!

General Emulator Discussion / Re: How do you create an emulator?

You could use After Effects, or you could use PowerPoint, which I use. You could even make an online emulator.

Weatherscan Discussion / Should we bring back Weatherscan?
« on: September 15, 2021, 05:20:18 PM »
Hi, new user, should we bring back Weatherscan? It's been dying off lately, and a few cable companies discontinued it. I've tried some emulators, but they never work. I also think they should get a satellite version for DirecTV and Dish Network. So, should they bring it back?
