WeatherSTAR Tech Support / Re: Text to Speech Alerts Malfunction
« on: September 05, 2023, 10:43:22 PM »
This is Jaden, I am under Cox on the Topeka market. I do encounter the same issue with The Weather Channel's SAP, I believe it may be of fault on Cox's end. It is only The Weather Channel where you have to enable SAP just to not hear Anna reading back the alerts, usually I forget it on and I'll change the channel and hear the SAP audio because it was left on because Anna talks on the non-SAP audio feed for whatever reason.

General Weather Chat / Re: 2020 is the new 2005

Wouldn't exactly say that. Although this season could have more storms named. The storms this year haven't been as intense as the storms back in 2005. Heck, July in 2005 had two major hurricanes which this year, we haven't had too many of thankfully.

Programming and Graphics / AMHQ Now Extended Until 10e/9c
« on: June 21, 2020, 11:06:52 PM »
AMHQ is now extended another hour once again until 10am Eastern for the first time since 2015. I find it an interesting move, but I have no idea what that means for AMHQ Early. To me it sounds like them cutting back on Live programming more, but that could just be me.

Very unfortunate news to hear. Thoughts are with his family. I remember watching his videos on YouTube and how they inspired me to join the TWC community over 5 years ago.

Between Warm and Cold

Yeah, WeatherNation tends to do that for whatever the reason. I know they do use music from Warner-Chappell but I don't think that would be the reason that they would wish to take down videos.

Programming and Graphics / Re: AMHQ OFF AIR -- TECH DIFFICULTIES
« on: April 20, 2019, 08:48:46 PM »
I was able to see some of the programming after the hack. In the 5 years I have actively watched anyways, I have never seen TWC down like this. They was stuck in the long-form mode with the show running, and they was putting the on-air graphic overlaying on the show, saying that they had Technical Difficulties. Their MAX system has been sketchy, but I have noticed that during long-form during the Local on the 8's animation, sometimes the LDL will run another one on top of it. And they are just running TWC ads where you would see Local on the 8's during longform. They even had the Local Now and Weatherscan platform down for a period of time.

TWC Fan Art / Red Mode Remake
« on: June 20, 2017, 08:15:17 AM »
I decided to try to recreate the Red Mode Graphics as what it would be today, but I had a few font limitations but otherwise I don't think its great or bad.
