Been trying to find a place to listen to/purchase "Amanda's World", which was ID'd as the "Unknown 1992 BTF" music.

Not on itunes or amazon. Could buy an old CD off ebay, but would prefer not to.

I don't really trust a lot of what the almanacs say.

However, the start of fall could be a cool one judging by temps this week.

The NY Times has a nice article on his long career.

Didn't know he worked with Steely Dan or Marvin Gaye.

Severe Weather / PDS/Derecho potential

Possible derecho situation coming together over northern Illinois moving eastward into Indiana this evening.

Widespread damaging winds and significant gusts to 80 MPH likely!

Could this line hold together overnight?

He did a lot of work in radio during the '60s in Miami:

Is Dan based in Atlanta? Back in the day, he probably had to live there. Although since the '90s a lot of voiceover work can be done from anywhere.

Cincinnati Radar & TWC June 22 1990

Song begins at 4:50. I know I've seen the title/artist before and wanted to add it to my playlist.

Those late '80s IDs were the best.

I like seeing those old radar composites. It's amazing how even in the early '90s the radar technology was still fairly primitive in most areas but by the late '90s the NWS was light years ahead.

Everything Else Classic TWC / Out of Harms Way II
« on: January 17, 2014, 10:10:48 PM »

I posted this many years ago with no luck, but there was a TWC video made around 1990 in partnership with the American Red Cross called "Out of Harm's Way II" that I recall airing on a local public access station several times.

The video featured Marshall Seese and featured a lot of the animation used on TWC at that time regarding weather preparedness during flash floods, tornadoes etc.

I've had no luck finding it. But if someone did, it would be a nice collectible.

I like that ID. Please post it.
