Is this still Studio 1C?  I can't make out the finished version from the "in progress" version that was posted earlier this month: http://360.io/ma4gze.

I think it has to be 1C. Hopefully he'll post another one of those when it's done.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought so. I know the look is not meant to be bright/colorful obviously, but ruggedness they were going for looks kinda bland to me.

Well this for sure should attract viewers.

What the heck!  That doesn't even look like wallpaper, just plain filthy wall that you'd see in an vacant basement.

The new show hosted by Mike Bettes will debut mid-August!  It will air from 6-8pm EST.

Nice Job TWC!! I was worried earlier today when I saw TWC was on a regular schedule. TWC is still live as of 7:08PM CDT. Anyone know how long tonight?

Figures, looks like it was only until 9pm EST.

They even had the Storm Alert LoT8's Music playing and all!  They could of at least went until 10 or 11pm but no their precious Long-Form garbage is too important for them to give up!  Don't expect Verizon to bring back The Weather Channel if this keeps up.

Also, wasn't Mike Bettes supposed to get his own weeknight show premiering this month?

Aside from that, "Weekend Recharge" sounds kind of tacky.  They would of been better off just bringing back Weekend Outlook, Weekend View, or Weekend Now.

Now that TWC has their first named winter storm my guess is we could get extended storm coverage in the evening this week.
They probably want to do as little live coverage as they can on weekends so they can extend coverage on weekdays.

Tom Niziol was at in the lab for the 5am-9am WCL.  9am-12pm they did not have anyone there and did not use it.

You'd hope they would have some sort of Extended Live Coverage for Winter Storm Astro, also there is the big anticipated Arctic Air Intrusion this week as well.

But since this past Spring it seems to me they have been slowly reverting back to there old ways of less frequent Extended Live Coverage unless they really really have to.

Someone name Rich who claims to be a Former OCM said this in the comment section of the article:

"I was one of the OCM's that was let go during the second round of layoffs in 2009. It's very sad to see what has happened to this company. At one time it was the best place to work."

I'm assuming it was former OCM Rich Johnson who wrote that.  I remember back in the day when him and Sharon Resultan used to always work on-air together, good times!

They must be running out of ideas for long-form programing names.  It's time to finally get rid of these ridiculous and unnecessary long-form programs for good!  I mean who even tunes into The Weather Channel to watch this crap?
